Indian security men harass locals
Kathmandu, October 20
Nepali civilians were physically assaulted by the Indian Border
Security Force (BSF) personnel, report said on Thursday.
The civilians of Duhabi VDC, Dhanusa were trying to enter into the
Indian border when the security men stopped and beat them up. Milk
vendors including other civilians were also assaulted in the last two
days, according to the report.
Jageshwor Pandit, Bechan Sahani, Mithilesh Mandal, Mohit Pandit are
amongst those who were assaulted by the BSF personnel, said Dev
Narayan Jha, a local leader. Locals are terrified by the radical
behaviour of SSB personnel.
Security personnel posted in Dhanusha district however, expressed
ignorance over the incident, added the report.
