You're probably trying to find the capacity (not the speed) of your RAM. On Windows, please do the following: 1. Click on 'Start' 2. Select 'Run' 3. In the box that appear, type 'msinfo32' and click 'OK' 4. A new window will appear in a moment. There, in the 'System Summary', locate the value in the field 'Total Physical Memory'. It should be MB. That's the capacity of your RAM.

this is from my experience. may b there r better ways. 1. refer to the computer device list. that came with the computer usually it lists. or 2. you can open the computer and look @ the reading on the RAM installed on the PCI slot of the motherboard. IT TELLS you whether it is SDRAM, RDRAM. It also tells u whether it is 168 pin or 184 pin. or [ usually INTEL PROCESSORS USE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING] PC66, PC100 or PC133. any who hope this helped.... ==================================================== as i used 2 say what do i know (o:

thank you Echoes, Thapap. But thats not what i'm looking for. I have 640 MB of RAM shared in 4 slots, but my computer doesnt run like one with 640 MB RAM. My computer takes SD RAM with speed of PC 133 mhz. I'm in doubt whether one or more of my RAM is of lesser speed. So i'm trying to find the speed of my RAMS but how?? Anyway thanks for your help.

There are many reasons why PCs run slow; having a slower RAM (out of few) isn't one of them. Some suggestions: 1) scan your entire hard drive with an anti-virus and spyware 2) check for bad sectors (built in utilities for both Windows and UNIX boxes) 3) defragment your entire drive 4) make sure your hard-drive isn't closed to its full capacity 5) make sure your CPU's heatsink and fan is intact Some processors like Celeron are awfully slow if you load up a heavy application; so be aware of this as you may have to accept as is. If you really are curious about the speed of your memory and for purely technical information, try this freeware: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php#download You may have to read the FAQs if you aren't familiar with some of the terminology. Good Luck! -JBeans

Looks like you have so many programs that run automatically while booting up your system (Start up) you might wanna try some simple techniques to speed up your PC Option one, Start - run- msconfig - diagnostic startup , and restart your pc. OR Option two, Setting - control panel -Administrative tools- Services . Look for those servers that you don't want to start automatically. change them to manual start or disable them if you are no longer using them . Restart ur Pc. hope these options will help you to speed up your performance.

Go to the bios and check the type of memory you have, while the computer is booting..
