I've been thinking of taking a long long trip to smwhere...smwhere magical....

I went to this place in Shanandoah National Park in Virginia.....went hiking to this scenic point...on top of this huge rock...man...it felt like heaven over there....it was a 360 view of the national park from top of this huge mountain....I would definately recommend everybody to go there....

Another enchanting place I've been to is Chincoteague islands....its a small island with old houses...we rented a house over there.....almost like the house frm "The Ring". But the whole place was enchanting. We canoed from one island to another left the canoes at the beach...go in the island ...observe the wild-life......(mostly wild ponies) ...was amazing....

Whats the best place you've been to??

The best place I have ever gone is "Pashupati Mandir". I miss that place too much. Saturday early in the morning, we guys used to sit in that wooden chair at the rear side of the pashupati....love that...

The last place I visited was Mustang.
Totally out of this world.
This is one place everybody should visit at least once in their lifetime.

Well,
I have been to that huge rock in the Shanandoah National Park in Virginia, and have had a 360 view of the park. I have also been to Muktinath temple in Mustang and definitely to Pashupati Mandir also.
But to me, the best place I have ever been is the route to Goshainkunda, inside the Langtang National Park. You get to see falls, lakes, wildlife, forest, mountains, pretty much one would expect in a trekking.

I fully agree with Laura. Although I have not been lucky enough visit to upper Mustang, I have been to upto Muktinath. That region is simply amazing. Kagbeni in particular must be the most interesting town I have been to. Other places I would like to mention are Poon Hill, Annapurna Basecamp, San Francisco, and Bangkok.

Another great place around Kathmandu is Boudhanath. The entrance to the stupa complex is quite magical. You go through congested traffic, hear loud noises coming from people, vehicles, animals and suddenly you are greeted by the piercing eyes of Buddha. And when you climb to the stupa, you can see peaks of Ganesh Himal behind Shivapuri hills in nice sunny day. The “Om Pani Padme Hum” music coming from the speakers of the stores near by, the sounds of the prayer flags flattering in the winds and the sights of pilgrims or couples on dates or just people lazying around the stupa is very refreshing, and gives some sense of peace to mind.

Maybe you do not want your boss to understand what you were typing if he decides to spy on you.

थापाथलीको पुरानो बागमती पुल देखि शंखमुल सम्मको ठाउ पनि एकदम रमाइलो छ।

Ha!! There are no such place as "Magical"... Or let's put it this way, every place is magical provided who is your company, what is your state of mind at that moment, in that place. Imagine you are on a Niagara Falls and your ever-nagging wife starts bugging the hell out of you... There, Niagara Hell!! :P Or Imagine this, you are having a nice conversation with superb company at your backyard. :P Even that same-old backyard becomes magical... hoina? :O

If I were u, I'd go back to Kathmandu and explore it... like each and every galli and take bunch of Pics of them. ah... From Jhonse to Jaisideval, From Nagal to chikamungal. Damn... Forgetting street names. eh.

I've been to most of the places around KTM, they were all real nice places to visit. One of my favourite places in KTM was Swayambhu. I used to go there with a bunch of my friends at night. You can see the skyline of kathmandu...The whole city glows with twinkling lights from ghar ghar ko windows.....ani you can also see dark patches....thats where the load-shedding is goin on!!!

But right now, I was talking about places in the US....any suggestions on places to visit in the US??

आर्य-घाट ।

जिस्केको हैन । पसुपति गयो । बाबालाई भेट्न गयो । अनि खोला पारीबाट घाटलाई टोल्हायो । गए ति दिनहरु - हत्तेरी...
