Do we really? If we do then what are we willing to sacrifice? What are we willing to give up?

tough question. he he he.. I ruminated a lot to find a "thing" but couldn't find any that i would like to trade. But wait a minute, who are we trading democracy with? who are we bargaining for democracy? How much does that cost? you have any idea?

If I were a judge I would give 9.99 for the thought provoking thread's initiator. General Manager of the nation recently did mention that in loud and clear voice that, staringly hard at the journalists that "Who said there is no democracy?" Now is that a hint that democracy is there, protect it if you can, so that implies that democracy is the only way out, and it indeed is. Now, we thought we had democracy back then, how we played with it, making mockery of it is quite evident for us, this generation. No!! No!!! not only the Neta's everyone of us played the ravager by tearing what we could. Now the need for democracy is whose shout?, power deprived elites, fruits of democracy enjoying elites in alien surroundings like us. With our being herded mentality, I feel, the question do or do not we want democracy, but can we handle democracy. Of course like Sunny and director said above, who are we bargaining?, is not democracy supposed to being in us, atleast the part to be disciplined. So are we ready for it?

Happy holidays to everyone. These are very thought provoking questiions? I am not sure that we will really be trading off anything but we will need to give up somethings! For example, are we willing to give up the "khusamat" mentality and rely on uncorrupt processes ... that's very important in democracy, you know. Anyway, we will continue the discussions over the holidays and after!

I am all in... I know I need to give up my indifference toward politics but not sure about khusamat. aight i am ready to give up the khusamat mentality if i ever had. But as i keep thinking, Only two parties are in stake right now in bid for democracy. Democracy is the moot point in power battle between King and the political parties ( Not RPP or some other so called parties). History shows that this battle would be violent. Ksatriya King would die for power and would kill anyone ( even their kins) as well. Now if you expect my blood for democracy, i am sorry. I love myself more than anything else. moreover, blood makes me feel dizzy. It's so bad that I still have nothing to emancipate nepal from the "democratic autocracy". but the buttomline is we need democracy. I can't bear Tulsi Giri preaching democracy. No more. comon bring up some ideas. why don't we flood the inbox of our rulers with what his PRAJA wants? How stupid would it be? is it possible? would this act have any impact? just a thought.

Very Hillarious comments! Especially the one which correlates with a story of a businessman whom Yamaraj wanted to know where he wants to go either in Hell or Heaven bound, and this brilliant businessman's answer- dobato where the hell and heaven bounds divert so that he can do a sound business. SunnyDev reminds me that smart businessman with a very business mind for a solid Democracy bargaining in Nepal. Nepal is not in shortage of those Democracy Bargain Hunters, though!!! HD

dang! dang! dang! .................. dang! ...................... ............... .................. ..................... .............. .. Dikka lagyo bhanya katti bajako? eeh Okay it's fine now. ears releived. It's your turn to listen now. Business man!! that's what i am. the question on the top was like a request for a bid. Yes, i am playing a usual businessman ( shrewd one). You caught me. But the thing is I am not going to win the bid. It makes me feel so bad that it will be with the current owner. Parties are bidding more but still less than what the minimum demand is. At least they were better keeper. they don't take a good care of my baby, they would abuse a little bit but they would not let my baby lose it's identity. And if i were a good businessman , i will goto heaven, business can only grow where the people are more well off. I bet, people at hell get's lower daily allowances. Now you can start the drum again. try a different beat. how about Dadara? ;-)

"True Democracy"? You mean Sarthak Prajatantra of Paras and his Dad treating poor Nepalese as Bheda-Bokas living in peace for the development of butcher's family. Wake up, wake up, all Bheda-Bokas before it's your turn to be slaughtered.
