Sly_evil Pal:

Let's not just jump into such a rash conclusion as of yours. However, I partially agree with Sajhaites intense interest on incidents that occured in the United States than the incidents that occured either in India or Nepal or rest.

There is a reason why those thousands of post accumulated with such a short span of time. I do not have any precise statistics to confirm my data, but I assume, many people who visit Sajha on daily basis are Nepali students studying in various colleges/universities of the USA. Besides students, many people are those who have finished their higher education and working here, some in status, some out of status, some Green Card holders, and so forth. Especially to me, Sajha seem like a cyber chautari for Nepalese youth residing in different parts of the USA. It does not mean that we do not have some users from Europe, South America ( I found few), East Asia, Australia,New Zealand and from our own maatr-bhumi.

Not only Nepalese people residing either on their swadesh or pardesh are dying with such a cruel circumstances, but you can say Many other nationalities living in their either homeland and foreignland are dying with the same proportion and incidents. Do you think about that one every time??? No, right??? My focal point is that a cyber chatari like Sajha is especially targeted with certain population , and their primary interest is with similar circumstances. For example, a normal sajha user, an undergrad Nepalese student from abc university of the USA always finds the related news more intense than the same situation with a Nepalese student in a similar situation in Nepal.

I think that is the reason, many Sajha users, who are predominantly students population found it more close to their circumstances than others. But, it does not mean that if people did not respond with such a zeal on the deaths of Nepalese on an accident in India does not mean that they are pathetic. And not to forget, these tragic news are coming one after other in such a short span, and I think, and I am sure, people are still mourning their friends and they are not ready bouncing back to other similar disasters.

After all, what we are, just a simple human being trying to survive as best as we can and as much as we can.

Thanks for spilling what's on your inside,Sly_evil Pal- good for you!!!

Let's be calm and rational, rather than emotional....

let's just mourn the death, and forget arguing about all that stuff... don't ever do this sly_evil and complain about what's going on in the world. in your case, we should mourn the death of everyone every day.. why just nepalese in nepal, or india or usa. why not americans, pigmies or bengali tigers or giant pandas... just be sensible and not react against feelings of people... okay. every moment someone's dying somewhere, and that is just human being... pls pls.. don't make comparisons and judgements... let just show support to all who are affected by this one. don't ever start such immature thread

Sly, it's not about the difference between Nepalese dying in USA and that in other countries. It's all about who died, how they died. Simple as that. You ain't gonna mourn for everybody. Those people who posted in Sajha to mourn are not stupid. Three young people died, they had many friends all over the places. Some of their friends are Sajha posters. They were shocked. If Life is funny you know how surprising the death is. One moment you are here, next moment you are gone. You are just a memory. And it's really shocking when someone becomes a memory, just like that. And it's more shocking for those who actually know the dead. Otherwise there are so many cases I know where the Nepali people died a horrible death in the USA... I don't see anything more than a mere condolence, or just a small piece of news.
