Mr Kashish,

It was nice to see your article in Nepalnews.com and I was surprized to see you writing baseless things that I know very well about. I am a Omaha, NE resident and I have been living here for almost 12 years now. I have never seen or heard of a gang fight among nepalese students here. So where did you make up the gang fight in Nebraska???

The other thing is: I have never seen you here in Nebraska and how come you know things better than us living here in Nebraska? Do you just make it up so you have fun writing bullshits in publications such as Nepalnews.com and whatever else you write in??

I have nothing to say against the journalists that publish all bullshit and their biased opinion about Nepalese aboard but I used to believe the young folks like you until I read this article. If you can't verify it -don't point fingers and say bad things about others. Again, when we should be united trying to make others feel bad is not good idea either.

Just my 2 cents. I hope you will take it as a constructive feedback.

Couple other things I did not like about but I think that was your opinion so nothing to say there..

hey, when my friend told me I thought he was joking but I guess its true. People are talking about it now, and we had the fight about 12 years ago! Stop harassing the journalist. That's the job of our King and the government. I was there. I don't know how he found out about the gang fight but it did happen. I am sorry to kashish we have taken so long to respond. we didn't really think people were talking about it, lave alone saying things like this in public.

I completely agree with Bhumi_gh's comment; it is very typical of nepalis to always find a way to pull another Nepali down and in the process they don't see the actual positive side of things but turns a positive thing into a negative thing.

note to birbhadra: bad journalism? why, what experience do you have in that field which makes you an expert to declare something like this as bad journalism? in any case I hope the matter is now closed.

holy smokes!!! whoever wrote against kashish about the gangfights that people claim to have had in nebraska, and stating that he is a bad reporter should stop dead on their tracks, turn around, and go check yourself first. You guys are clearly missing the point. It's not about defaming nebraska or the nepalese that live their. The whole article is about(agaisnt) the wrong message layed out by nepalnews.
Guys, stop pulling somebody else's leg. But still if you wanna do that, do it in such a way that u don't make a fool of yourself.

I support Kashish's attempt to clarify the issues raised in that pathetic article. That was a very amateurish article that clearly lacked any credible investigation. Kashish's response was way above that article in its quality. The funniest part about the article was when the writer takes issue with Nepalese govt for not doing anything about teaching students driving in the U.S. What next? Nepali govt. should also wipe our a**** and clean our noses??? It's typical nepali attitude where you gain popular support by blaming everything on the government.

In any case, I liked Kashish's response and one only has to attend ANA conventions to enjoy our true Gorkhe color come out when Nepali guys get drunk and wanna impress the ladies and peers by wanting smash someone's face.

Good Job Kashish! You have my full backing for what its worth.

Kashish did a good job. He deserves applause. Also, he should not be bothered by this baseless things. I admire his journalistic norms not to give away names involved in the incident.

HF salutes you

peace out

no offense to all that were in the fight in nebraska bak in the early nineties.......and other fights in the US involving nepalese guys but can u honestly call them gang fights???? a fight between two groups ofnepalis happen........it happens in ktm it happens in india and well why not the US but......calling them frequesnt gang fights means u need gangs....not just frens out to have fun and getting drunk and meeting other drunk ppl and fighting.........i think kashish has done fine so far but his article saying there are gang fights in the US like bak in nepal where there are actually gangs from different toles like bhumimandal......maharajgunj chakrapath........thamel.... and blah blah.....it ain't like that man.....and saying that fights are common in the US among nepalese ain't a gr8 thing to say to parents reading the article and thinking abt theri kids in the US........most students in the US just wanna live the life...study hard...workd hard and play hard....fights do happen and i ain't denying it.....but saying that there are 'frequent gang fights' aint' helping things anyhow....

and yeah bad journalism cos' kahish wrote abt things on hearsay.......he wasn't there when it happened or talk to somene who was there .....he had 'heard' abt it...that makes it bad journalism....

When Kashish said “gang-fight,” I assume he meant a fight involving more than two people. Even in Nepal, we used to address such fights as gang fights. There were guys from different tols but not gang per say.
So instead of getting caught up in these two words, we should just look at the reality and look at what kinds of fights happen in US. And fights happen everywhere and more so when there is a Nepalese bunch, so let’s not deny this fact and try to see what prompted this article for what reason.

Kashish has a history of amateurish and inconsequential journalism....He likes to hype himself up as something great...He is just a bird-chested brown asswipe who has delusions of grandeur for whatever reason..Perhaps it was his wave magazine, where indigenous nepalis who should be wearing deura surwals walking up mountains with bags of rocks on their head are pictured in doo-rags and sunglasses and baggy jeans...Newsflash!!! You live in Nepal...stop posing and go pull a rickshaw...or at least help your family plant rice in the fields...anyways, I went off on a tangent..but ah yea, Kashish...thi kid is obviously a little shithead looking to make a name for himself even at the cost of fake news story...Kashish you disgust me...and you disgrace your mother's milk...but dont worry I still think you are hip and your news material is cutting edge, fukin faggit..

There is something called professionalism. Professionals have ceratin fidicury duties that they gotta maintan. Journalists have to keep their sources confidentality ie; their fidicuary duty. Kashish did a good job. He showed professionalism uner immense pressure to reveal his sources.

It was also a much needed article to clarify news that gave falisifed info that was published earlier.

I only see one reason for people to oppose him after all these clarifactions. Sheer outta jealosuy.

Live and Let Live

peace out

Talking to Nepalnews, Milan Dixit, principal of Rato Bangala School, a leading private sector-run school in Lalitpur, said, Lack of proper orientation and discipline among Nepali students are main reasons for such accidents in the US.

We were shocked after the news that Nepali students were killed for not following traffic rules. So orientation should be compulsory for them before going there, she added.

Um yea...Dumbass.

If you have followed the news, in Minnesoata incident none of a Nepalis were driving. In Texas incident, it was a falut of another driver. So definately the reactions came outta false news peublished in Nepalese media. Kashish took a inititative and tried to clear it up.

So what do you say about that Johhny. Fights in Nebraska did take place. Not only fights, there were also some robberies too, boy.

peace out

i am sick of hearing all this boud mouthing about nepali students in america.it is easy for people back in nepal to say that we are wild, don't remember out culture and values and just want to enjoy life in fast lane.but the truth is we are working 15 16 hours just to get by, while u are enjoying cozy nights at home eating home cooked meal. we are listening to all taunts about our accent and how different we look and stuill trying to be friends with them.

we are trying to survive in america with all the baggage we have, no money no "source-force", last thing we need is all this crap about being wild from people back in nepal.

well..Iam not here to defend Kashish or Offend Nebraskian but Yes there used to be fights among nepalese back in mid 1990's it was between ( no need to mention names here) if you guys were in nebrask mid 1990's youi will recall that. Other thing about Nebraska is a Nepali guy addicted to cashino robbed a bank on 86 street twice. First he fleed with 1500 dollars and 2nd time he had a rental national rental car and went to rob a bank and he fleed with 3500 to Losvegas. when they track the number plate he got caught when he got back from Vegas
I agree its easy to get off campus in Nebraska before 1998 when some of us went to OTC with scratched Social security number and those people at OTC end up calling INS and INS started raiding appt in Rivera and some other in and around Bellevue. This is when students started fleeing Nebraska and heard is lot quiter now a days. Thank god this nepalese guy was lucky he didn't get a fine or Jail termed like the guy in IOWA who got 250k and 8years jail term for scratched social security just about 4 months ago
I never lived in Nebraska but tell me if Iam wrong here.
