Guys,
I thought merosansar .com.np was a cool blog site....
well it is.. but the site is very Biased.... so called.. Umesh Shrestha is agaist Gyane.. well we all know the sitation but this does not mean we should rule him (king) out.. we should look at the big picture.. we should be shown the nutral view and it will be us to decide...

Well what did 10 yrs of "DEMOCRACY" brought to Nepal???
How well did the Ministers ran our country???
I personally think .. Nepal is just not ready for Democracy .. just because people do not understand the "meaning" of democracy...
those ppl in the riot showing.. " mukutt hami jalawoo chumm.. desh hami.. chaluchumm.."
this is just one big ol' BS.. just imagine.. we letting that guy run the country! it will be even worse....

i guess we are the "amiss" ourselves , coz nomatter who runs the country ends up as a leech sucessful in draining every last drop of blood from nation and citizens, they come rule on us makes up a treaty sells part of the country , sloughters thousnds of our people and calls them "either maoist or police killed in the war" and the most we do is burn the manpower shut down roads ,for nepali people killed by araibian terrorists , not meaning it wasnt moving and sad, but HELLOO what about the thousand of people killed in our own country, if we cannot save them in our own country forget about abroad.
Apart from it we dont care about anything that goes in our country even if we do it is limited in our words not in action.
a.The rate of gas , petrol or anything doubles, what we do? have enough stock for 1month for the home .
b.Maoist ,political parties etc...declares bandh "one more day of f wahh relax".
for example MTA(public transportation system) declared strike in NEW YORK all the newyorker were still going to work they started wearing sneakers and big jackets and they walked for more then an hour but went to work. whats up with us.
untill and unless "WE"step forward and saySTOP its never going to stop and already weak economy falls more. i guess we need a little shaking up by a "true leader".
honestly i really think we need a new and energetic positive leader and the old ones allll
trashed up pulled out by its root.Untill then nothing can be said unless some miracle happens and our existing king starts doing positive improvements.

Something that really pisses me off is that these protests and demonstrations normally turns into destruction of infrastructure and public/personal properties. Why the heck sombeody gotta throw stones at traffic lights, burn transmission sets.

Top of that, these moron leaders encourage these actions. More destruction, its on news. Right now I think these leaders seriously want some gunfire by cops so that they can make issue outta it..

Highfly for peace in Nepal.

Hey..

kuamle.. to put the link.. put a space in between '.com' or someting; this will allow the link to bypass the sajha filter.. coz it filters for straight up links.. so if u see the links i provided on this thread u will see i had added a space in the link.. i had added some space to it goes though the filter.. and we can figure out when we copy paste the link. :)

Nicely narated Ocean, yeah and we all know we failed as a generation to safeguard democracy, but again i sometime wonder are we prepared yet. We will learn as we progress but changes have to come from everywithin, untill then it is "kasko bau ko ke vitamin"

I am really glad to get some of the great thoughts from you guys...
I guess we all know.. "Democracy" is what we want..
but the leardship current ministers are running by the name of 'Democracy' is not what we want.

We all do realize that we all need to have concept of "We", rather than "I".

Democracy is all about freedom, freedom in the way we think, freedom of speech etc.. but its not the freedom which lets anyone throw stones and vandelize a property..Democracy is not the freedom which lets someone to call for "Bandah" and inturrupt the daily life of thousands of other citizens...

Really interesting thing to note is that, we all know whats good whats bad.. I am sure people know killing innocent policemen is not a solution of "Peoples war"(so called by maoist). Killing civilians and putting the logo of "Maoist" could not be justified and similarly, every one knows.. calling for bandah is not the solution in resolving the issue.. however, some people are still doing it.. I wonder what those people must be thinking when they call out for Bandah and attack on police post when they know its not right...

As pointed out earlier, we need a good education .. education to each and every individual so that they could make a informed decision. Edcuation is important so people could not be 'brainwashed'....

There is a great potential in Nepal .. to grow its economy.. Nepal has the potential to provide lots of outsoursing solutions etc specially in IT field.. but because of the current sitation its sad to say.. Nepal is missing out on these opportunities, big time!
Hope Nepal could catch up soon .. before its too late and become the poorest country in the world!

Dalli Resham:
Of course, Democracy is nothing I mentioned, but have we not seen all of them in Nepal's contest....Burining vehicles, smashing windows different infrastructures, killing eachother in the name of People's war/national security....Ocean was right on...education...ethics....and who should enforce law???? Nepal is a lawless nation...Power wins over law everyday in Nepal..otherwise..why are corrupts still vying for the governmental positions? I don't know how much India influences our politics...but it seems like more than it should...what do you guys think???

"I don't know how much India influences our politics." I don't know too. But I know Mahila Sahu runs our country like his own family property. THAT is the main problem of Nepalese politics.

Shaiva,

Only way peace is possible is through negotiations and comprimise.

The educated have all left the country. The expatriates will have to organize return to Nepal and hold their own protests.

Yeo Dalli..
I dont think all the educated ones have left Nepal.. there must be quite a few... dont we see so many colleges in Kathmandu??... I just got back from KTM few days ago.. I was surprized to see so many +2.. colleges in such a small town.. ;) hehehehe.. so there are some educated ones left in Nepal who could be the eligible leaders for our nation..
I am sure.. if the sitation of our country becomes favorable some, if not many, will go back to Nepal.. at least I would definately go back to Nepal... There is lot more in our country that we should be proud of.. $$ isnt everything.. our culture, family, lifestyle, language means "something"..

"Only way peace is possible is through negotiations and comprimise." Satya bachan highflyji. Parties must begin serious negotiations and compromise with Maoists. Mahila Sahu ko jharla ra khaula gareko le le muluk chaupat huna lagyo.

Shaiva,

I will really appreciate if you do not use ji with me. Some wise person said " Buerocracy is the result of inefficiency" and I kinda agree with that.

If you wanna discuss just for a shake of discussion then I aint got anything to say. I would like to stress on the fact that change is possible only if majority is in the same boat. I think step by step process to complete deocracy is the best way to go for the smooth transition.

You know " You have to learn to crawl before you learn to walk". People here are talking about flying before crawling.

First step should be working together to set up a democratic framework which would comprimise maoists to shun violence, leaders to be transparent and give chance to clean ones, king to go back to consitution. I mean to say three way comprimise in this sense.

Maoists should stop targeting the innocents. They should give up violence. I caanot take a chance of trusting them unless they give up their weapons.

Anyways, my views will not make any difference. It seems no one is in mood of comprimise.

HF is for peace in Nepal

It appears like no one are willing to give up.. every group wants whatever they are looking for and are not willing to give up a thing.
I am sure... right now the Congress and the communitiest Party will come togather to fight agaist Monarchy, but we all know if they are able to do so, then they will start fighting among themselves for the Chair... the reason being.. The Chair gives them $$. Congress party will not be willing to give any of the seats to the other parties.. similarly, Communist party will fight to get all the chairs.. The Maoist will then fight to get the whole country and move our beloved Country Nepal to Darkness... (I dont see one good reason what the Maoist could bring to Nepal.. or move our country on the path of economic development, instead I see maoist ruling our country.. by treating all the citizens as slaves..Do We want this??)

Jai Nepal...

Part of the problem is that no one wants to compromise or negotiate in good faith. There is always some underhandedness going on amongst players. We may need a mediator to lead any negotiations. There is too much emotion and passion for anything to get done beyond finger pointing and name calling.

The Maoist problem is that they don't respect any ideas outside of Maoism. They could be a great force for change and progress if they would calm down and stop going Taliban on everyone.

We don't necessarily need new politicians but we do need a way to hold them accountable. Dissolving parliament is the wrong way to hold them accountable. We should be able to hold individual members accountable when they fail in their leadership positions. Holding elections should not be the responsibility of the politicians that seems like a huge conflict of interest.

The King unfortunately is the only thing holding things together because our political system is so weak. He's a necessary evil for the moment.

The protesters should hold rallies and not protests. Speak about what kind of Nepal we want to live in. Talk about the strength of the Nepali people and our ability to overcome all types of adversity including our present one. Write some cool rally songs so we can stand hand in hand and sway in unison.

"The protesters should hold rallies and not protests." Yes, and get shot by Mahila Sahu's private army! Collective stupidity of fellow Nepalese never ceases to amaze.
