I calculated my tax return for 1040 NR and I ended up with the result that I need to pay back $600 to IRS instead of federal tax and state tax withheld in my pay stub. I just calculated directly ...like wage, federal tax and state tax, exemption for dependent. What to do so that I can get refund. I have heard of people's getting whole refund...........how to do? Suggest.

it has happened to me before where I had to pay more than $1000. Its because you hit the higher income range and tax witheld was not enough.
If you have had, SS and Medicare, then u can file a form to get that money back.. however it does take a while to get it back and NOTE.. file the 1040 NR before sending the SS and Medicare refund as they validate against IRS entry. (you should be able to get this form from the College that u may be attending).
Other thing you can do is...
u can take ur file to H&R block to validate. if they can come up with a refund.. then u wil have to pay the fee and they will do it for u.. else u dont have to pay anything..
