My 9 year old daughter has been in the U.S. for 2 years, and she is starting to loose her Nepali. As we are American, we aren't able to read children's stories to her in Nepali, and I think that would be just the way to help here preserve her ear for her first language. Are there young Nepalis on the South Shore ( Dorchester Quincy Milton) who would be interested in reading to children/ We have some Nepali books.I hesitate to post this in the classified because for an hour or two a week, it doesn't really rate as a job opportunity, but maybe peoplae will have some ideas.
Thank You!
Jessica
