Do you accuse your mother as prostitute? Do you request anybody else to rape your mother? Unfortunately, there is a list of such people who even do not hesitate to do so after being funded by the foreign elements.

Some political activists, some INGOs paid traitors say, human right activists, some foreigners funded media houses including the publications brought out by the Kantipur Publications, some professional "organizations" including our own "umbrella organization", Federation of Nepalese Journalists, the other organization of "professional" advocates, and some sensitive institutions have been involved in such practices. We all know, these organs are highly corrupt and highly influenced from the foreign support.

Not only that, they are following the path of autocratic and proletarian regime.

What they are doing is clear from the "Letter to the editor" in Tuesday's The Kathmandu Post by American Ambassador James F Moriarty, where his remarks were -- although fact -- came against the mission of those traitors:
"We accept that the major political parties signed the 12-point with the insurgents to bring them into the mainstream and to give peace a chance".

"Yet statements by Maoist leaders and continued terror by the rebels have undercut this lofty goal. Instead, we believe the Maoists are bringing the parties closer to them, forcing the parties to accept the insurgents' use of violence and terror as acceptable tactics to reach the power. We also see no evidence that the Maoists are willing to lay down their weapons and enter the political mainstream," the envoy has made clear.

Meanwhile, the very newspapers, now known as a propaganda bulletin of the agitators and a pro-republic mouthpiece, started to criticize the American envoy although his observations were pragmatic.

As those propaganda pieces are actively involved in distortion of positive news, it unnecessarily dragged the Chinese Ambassador to India by misquoting him. However, the Ambassador has made clear through Saturday's The Times of India saying that Nepal is a friendly country of China.

When asked to a high-level diplomat at the Chinese Embassy here by this reporter, he said that China has never changed her Nepal policy.

"When our Prime Minister had visited Nepal last year, he had stressed on reconciliation among the constitutional forces," the diplomat said and added, "still we stand for that."

"We follow the policy of non-interference in any country including our neighbours", he said.
"We hope, Nepal can resolve her problem herself," he further remarked.

When asked about the India stationed Chinese Ambassador's remarks appeared in The Kathmandu Post, the Chinese diplomat in Kathmandu said that the authentic person to represent Beijing in Kathmandu is the Chinese Ambassador here, not other ambassadors stationed abroad from China.

Nepal in EU
Meanwhile, so-called human rights activists but known as the active UML workers, such as Subodh Pyakurel, chief of a family run NGO, INSEC and Gauri Pradhan, head of CWIN, attending the European Parliament, asked the EU for initiating "smart sanctions" against Nepal (their motherland?). Will any bona-fide citizen initiate such a move against his own motherland?

According to reports, those who are actively involved in agitation and campaigning against the nation are being funded by foreign agencies.

The report states, Subodh Pyakurel's INSEC (pro-UML) has received 50 million rupees from DFID, NORAD and CCO. That apart, INSEC has received additional 70 million rupees from EU.

Gauri Pradhan (pro-UML), CWIN, has received 70 million rupees from Save the Children Norway.

Another activist who has been campaigning against Nepal in Europe, Arjun Karki (pro-UML) is running RRN and this NGO has been funded by EU and ECCI. The EU is to fund about 600 million rupees for three years to this NGO. That makes 200 million rupees each year. Dr. Bharat Pradhan is running PHECT which receives 31.5 million rupees from Interplasl, USA. Dr Bhogendra Sharma (pro-UML) run NGO CVICT receives 6.4 million rupees from DFID-Nepal, UNICEF, NORAD/HAMU.

Similarly, Dr Devendra Raj Pandey (so-called civic society leader) is running RSDC called NGO which is funded by the DFID. His NGO receives 180 million rupees for a period of four years.

Baburam Gautam run Women Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) has received 40 million rupees from the Plan International Nepal and the Asia Foundation.

Dr Lok Raj Baral run NGO NCCS has received 60 million rupees from Royal Norway Embassy here whereas Dr Gopal Siwakoti run NGO Him Rights has received 40 million rupees from Plan International and Action Aid, among others.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Nepalese Journalists, which is said to be fighting for "absolute press freedom", is receiving 30 million rupees from DANIDA, 10 million rupees from Media Service International and 5 million rupees from EU, it is learnt.

Basically, those providing fund to those family run NGOs belong to European countries. To note, DFID, a British government organization is funding highest amount of money to those NGOs, media organizations and some newspaper publishers for accelerating pro-republic move. It is interesting, a government institution of the country having constitutional monarchy is investing here for a republic cause! Why are they funding those organization having no impact in grassroots level and the bosses of those organizations are busy in foreign junkets and contributing for enhancing conflict and destabilizing the democratic process in the country.
They all believe that if all the problems including conflict situation are resolved, they will not be funded. Therefore, they are busy while projecting Nepal in the international arena wrongly.

" Baburam Gautam run Women Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) has received 40 million rupees from the Plan International Nepal and the Asia Foundation. "

My family ( My husband and I) pay Plan International to sponser few girls for their educations and community development and it is not very good to hear that our money is going to the real hands. IT is sad becasue the same amount of money could have changed many girls' future.

What can I say!!!! not much of course!!!!!!!!!!

goodluck, just because these NGOs and projects are funded by international organizations doesn't bring your accusation even close to truth. So what?? Most NGOs in Nepal are funded by other organizations abroad for one cause or the other. How can you say that this money goes into private pockets? Have you spoken with these people or researched into what contributions are they making in the society? There could be corruption here and there (nani dekhi lageko bani- this leeching into public resources for private benefit will never go away until you bring a change in the mindset), but to accuse them completely of being worthless doesnt make any sense either.

Devendra Raj Pandey's institution that conducts research is doing what it was established to do. And no, I don't have any affiliation with the institution, nor with him.

The point here is, every action has a reason and a consequence. Their stance at the EU must have a reason- could be political, economic, institutional, national. They must have reasonably calculated causes and benefits. So its our turn to analyze why exactly they did that- why, after looking at the history of what these human rights and civil society organizations have been doing in Nepal, raising concerns for human rights and devastations brought by autocratic regimes, why did they ask EU to impose sanctions? Conspiracy theories aside, could it be to pressure the monarch? What else could there be?

NGOs and INGOs funded by international agencies including IMF, World Bank have their own political agenda they wish to fulfil- the main reason they were created in the first place. But that aside, if these ngos and civil society institutions were not at the grassroots, majority of Nepalese today wouldnt even be aware of any political, economic, national implications today's autocratic regime has brought out, let alone bringing out mass rallies against it.

goodluck,
i think you so obssessed by the "his majesty" that like every other " dhanustankar" you have commented by saying that even free media houses like kantipur and human rights organization like INSEC and CWIN is selling their motherland. I feel sympathy for your level of self-respect, since "dhanustankar" culture is for people who dont have self respect.
Another thing, Nepalese people are with Kantipur. They deliver news that are directly related for people. They dont put King performing puja in pokhara as their headline like sarkari newspaper. Thats why they are read by most people in Nepal, and I dont think you can argue that Kantipur is the most popular newspaper in Nepal.
CWIN and INSEC in Geneva are requesting boycott ofr Royal Sarkar and his personal royal army. Mind this- Gyan does not represent Nepal.
FNJ is really fighting for the press freedom, thats what i think and most of the nepalese think.
Be Real man.
Democracy is also for you and your family dude. talking about democracy doen't mean that we support corrupt leaders. they can be sidelined if we, the people, have power. that's the one of the many benefits for people of having democracy.

goodluck,

Forgive my ignorance but I'm like.. so what? what's the point here? It looks like you are introducing pro republicans. YOU didn't say how did they pimp their motherland. I didn't even sense any intention to do so after reading this "informative" article.

Do you expect any govt in the world to throw in their money into some other country without any strings attached ?
OR
Or do you expect Nepal to receive money (for nothing) from govts around the world and never let them to decide to decide where and how it is going to be used ?
