KATHMANDU, March 15 - Maoist rebels have attacked an ambulance along the Pirthvi Highway in Kotrey of Tanahun district last night.
The ambulance, belonging to Gorkha Community Polyclinic, was ferrying a patient to Pokhara when it came under attack from the rebels, reported our district correspondent.

Fifty-year-old Ram Bahadur Rana was injured when the rebels opened fire at the ambulance, reports said.

Rana was accompanying his ill grandson Rajan to take him to the hospital when the incident occurred. (dds)
