Direct sunlight creates great amount of contrast in photographs which gives a harsh contrast to the photographs, which is in most cases creates very unpleasent effect. See the shadow areas, it has lost almost all details. Usually we use fully powered optional flash in the fully sun-lit daylight (which appears absurd for general people) to bring back the detals from the shadow areas and stop the pics from looking too contrasty. It also adds saturation to the photograph. In technical terms, it is called 'Dynamic Range'. Dynamic Range is the difference between the brightest and the darkest shade present in an image. Lower the dynamic range, contrasty an image becomes and vis a vis. Meaning image will look horribly contrasty if the dynamic range is low.

Thank you for you thoughts Khaobadi Bro. I have not interest and no money to invest in expensive flash. In fact, I am downgrading from prosumer camera to a point and shoot type. To be precise, it is F30, Fujifilm.I am sure you know about this camera.

The greatest problem with today's any digital camera costing 300$ 'point $ shoot' still camera to 2,50,000$ movie camera is the ''clipping out' of the brightest areas of the image. See your second and second last image for example. Instead of displaying gradual shift of bright greys to the brighest greys at the highlights of the image (as it happens in film), the color suddenly shifts to white and all the detail is lost when shot with a digital camera.

Second was shot using Sony F717 and the last one with again Sony but F828. As far as I am concern now, I am not going to buy bulky stuff anymore- extra load makes moving about clumsy, big camera requires plenty of accessories and attracts to much attention. My wish now is to get a high end video camera and F30.

Yoy are lucky. My camera body along with lens (..dont even mention about weight if I carry more than one lens) and speedlight(flash) will weigh aroud 3 kilograms..(tripod not included). These days I normally dont carry tripod anymore unless I have to take pic of myself.
