sumankomal,

why do you really fancy to marry foreigner whom you are not quite confidence to do so ? Shame on to all sajha user guys that you have to look for some foreigners!

Anyway, There are so many example of such marriages. It is a sort of new experience and you will be on everybody's eyes for sometimes being in Nepal. This is not the big issue, it matters your life after marrying the guy. Do you want him stay in Nepal or you gonna live with him where is he now after marriage. In long run, it would be sort of cultures and traditional complication for sometimes.

At the end of the day, it is a new experienece of your life with such a person who is from different back ground, cultures, etc ..... It depends on both partners for mutual respectation of each other's valuess for successful life ...!

Good Luck !

Sumankomal,
I think the best thing to do is ask your parents. The wedding ceremony means a lot to the parents and relatives than to the ones getting married. Seems like you have already gotten married here. I do not think it will be weird because I have attended such a wedding ceremony, and have heard of many others. The nepali relatives recieve the non-Nepali groom quite well. It's quite common these days. I am assuming your husband also is up for it. Be prepared to sit in front of the fire for hours. There is also the option of doing a short and sweet version of the wedding ceremony. As I said, your parents would be the ones to talk to.

I got married in USA. I organized all my rituals in a temple and performed a short-cut version of traditional Nepali wedding with an assistance of a “puret baje”. But I would have enjoyed it more if it was to happen in Nepal surrounded by family, relatives and friends. So if it is feasible, I would suggest you to get married in Nepal. I can assure you that you would be pleased with this decision. Congratulations and good luck with your planning!!!
