The government has clamped curfew orders with the Ring Road area in Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts from Wednesday night.

Issuing separate public notices, the District Administration Offices of Kathmandu and Lalitpur said the curfew orders will be effective from 11:00 p.m. Wednesday to 3:00 a.m. Thursday.

The curfew orders came hours before a planned four-day general strike called by seven-party opposition alliance on Thursday.

READ THIS N TELL ME who's doing all these NEPAL BANDH n MOAIST???

India is supporting rebels, parties: Minister Koirala

A senior member of the royal cabinet has claimed that India has beenf supporting the Maoist rebels and the agitating political parties to create political instability in Nepal.

Rajdhani daily quoted Minister for Science and Technology Prakash Koirala as saying that the seven parties have been organising protest programmes with "direct support and involvement" of India.

Koirala said the parties should not act according to the direction of foreign powers.

He also alleged India of not wanting to see peace and political stability in Nepal. India is making the parties and the Maoist rebels dance to its tune, he further said, adding that the southern neighbor has a direct hand in the pact between the seven-party alliance and the Maoists.

He said the seven parties failed to bring the Maoists into the political mainstream. "It is unfortunate that the leaders who declared the Maoists as terrorists have now signed an agreement to step up against the government. This is against the interest of nation and nationality," Rajdhani quoted minister Koirala as saying.

Koirala, a former Nepali Congress leader, who was later expelled from the party for supporting the 'February 1' royal takeover, said that the government was forced to ban the movement of seven parties, though the constitution permits for peaceful assembly, because the government has received authentic information of infiltration of the Maoists.

He also blamed the parties of trying to make Nepal like Bhutan and Sikkim, run as per the interest of India.

Koirala, however, said the government was ready for reconciliation and dialogue for peaceful solution to the crisis facing the country

DON'T F@KING BLAME ON KING ALL THE TIME.... IF KING HAVE NOT TAKEN THE POWER......THERE'D BE NO NEPAL....IT'D BE LIKE BHUTAN N SIKKIM......THE FIRST PERSON THAT SELLS NEPAL WOULD BE NOT OTHER THAN OUR BELOVED "GIRIJA PRASHAD KOIRALA BITCH".

ALL U SMART ASSES---WHO SUPPORT 7 PARTYZ ....7 PARTYZ DIDN'T DO SHIT ALL THOSE PAST 15-16 YRZ. WHY EXPECT MORE?

I RATHER STICK WITH THE KING EVEN THOUGH I DON'T LIKE HIM AT ALL.
CUZ I NEED PEACE - NOT GAIJATRAZ BY 7 PARTYZ ALL THE TIME.
PEACE.

IF I'M WRONG, CORRECT ME.

Sad thing is neither 7 parties, nor King Gyan Bahadur Shah, and nor Maoists are thinking for the People of Nepal. They are all working for their own self interests.

just think Gyane is already a rich man.. why would he want to take power and risk his own life.

He is doing it because he is worried about nepal and its future. It would be very easy for Gyane babu to simply take the money and run off to another country or give the power to political parties.

but we all know political parties and people like girija babu, .. girija is one greedy old man.. i wish he would just go away and leave politics.. even though he is so old he still loves power + money.

its funny that everyone saying, well India is so involved in our country and they influence our political party. Fact of the matter is India did not came to Nepal and offer a help. Our helpless coward and mind there own interest leader from (moist to congress) goes to Delhi Darbar and ask for the help... Don't blame India blame your leader..

whatsupD,
Indeed our leaders, the one that we choose to represent ourselves choose to represent Delhi durbar rather than ourselves.
Than what should we all do?? Elect new leaders, get the corrupt leadership out of the way, let the new leadership emerge, from new generation. That is our only hope.

On the side note India is actively involved in our internal politics since the inception of Nepali Congress in Jan 25, 1947. In that published बिधान in which the name of , B.P Koirala and Matrika Prasad are present along with the Indian dignitaries like Ram Manohar Lohia, J.P Kripalani, Jaya Prakash Narayana clearly states that "Nepal is an integral part of India. It is British conspiracy to segregate Nepal from India and the goal of Nepali Congress is to make one single (बिशाल भारत बर्ष) bishal bharat barsha. How can India leave Nepal alone when its founding fathers along with our party founding fathers believed that Nepal is an integral part of India? (this historic document was published in TND, last year)

Also, Nehru used to claim that northern border of India is the Himalays which included Nepal.
