With increasing number of voip service providers coming up, how do you compare voip with calling cards? For example, I have found out that Sunrockets offers 17c/min to Kathmandu and 32c/min to other towns. There is another provider that offers 19c to KTM and 26c to rest of the country. I have never used VOIP phones. I wonder if the service is good and clear. Anyone who used VOIP and liked it compared to phone cards? pros and cons please .. from VOIP users. Thanks.

Not really. Calling card is so much clearer.Trust me, I have made plenty of calls using both voipstunt and Skype. Since guys are going to call Nepal, I think should forget about purchasing voip credit as I have found out that the quality is extremely bad - there is to much echo and delay. Well, even after warning you, you want to go ahead and try out voip then good luck. Regards

Himalaya178, whats himtel ? Well, please don't ask me stuff about Nepali. I am in Newcastle, UK and have faintest idea about Nepal as I grew up in Singapore. But I have made calls to Nepal, Singapore, Australia and UK itself using voip. The qyality is not that good especially for Nepal.
