Dr Brian Cobb,

I am sorry for what happened to you Dr. Cobb. But, I am sure you understand the reality that the country is in the climax of revolution against the brutal regime of Gyanendra. Once, he is overthrown, you will be warmly welcomed to the democratic Nepal. I personnaly applaude your dedications to the war victims. You are a hero.

Thanks to Dr. Brian for providing help in need. My appeal to dr. brian, being a national from superpower country. Though authorities in Nepal has chased you away, people are still with you.You can still do a lot to the people in nepal, they need a lot of help of people like you in this hour. You being a citizen of a power country, you can help to potray the true picture, suffering of people, authority brutality of nepal. You can even raise voice in your country in support of democracy and peace in Nepal. That would be a wonderful support from your side to the people of nepal.

Reading what had happened with Dr.Cobb, I now have no doubt what ‘the dictator’ has learned from his africa visit. It sounds like i am reading some story of lawless sates of any african country. Culprits like madhav thapa and other his allies should be punished in the democratic nepal. Madhav! you and people like you will have no place to hide. Every thing will be paid. Salute Dr. Cobb,Dr. Hensel and your crews for your magnanimous work. We are and always will be indebted what you have done for humanity and specially to us.

Coming from a culture where a “guest” is looked upon as one of the many forms of the “god”, I must say I am extremely embarrassed. On behalf of my country, my friends and family, I personally would like to apologize for such an inexplicable behavior. I must also thank the entire team for their bravery, compassion, and sense of humanity. I hope this incident; rather than discourage the international community; will add fuel to the fire and encourage all concerned, freedom loving and passionate citizens of the world to unite and raise their voices against such blatant abuse of human rights. Having said this, I would like to express my concerns over:

1. the well being of the Nepalese medical volunteers. I hope they are safe in Nepal. If possible, please update their well-being.
2. the closing of US Consulate and the negative effect it might cause to innocent Nepalese.
3. the lack of international support; be it verbal criticism of the current government or supply of emergency food/medical supplies.
4. the lack of interest/support shown by UN.
5. the indifference shown by China.

Before it takes many more lives, I sincerely urge all to pressure Nepalese government to follow the path full democracy and re-instate Nepal as peace loving country.

Jai Nepal!

I am sorry to hear about Dr Cobb. Nepal government should have acted in a more dignified and responsible manner to a volunteer like him.

Hey this is Dr Prakhar Nigam, Dr Brian Cobb is in a very bad situation right now, he's admitted in AIIMS New Delhi, was my patient in Emergency Medicine AIIMS as well, so we later shifted him to medicine dept and admitted him there. Really feeling bad about this guy, found out about his details, and so ended up here, if any of you are willing to help, then contact him through AIIMS. As told by him, he got mugged and lost his passport and what not. He has no cash, no nothing with him, if possible help this guy to reach back his home. Thnx
