i'm shocked to see so many threads related to king.folks,why make separate threads for talkin' abt the same old king? make use of one single thread, look @ the homepage, more than half of the kurakani section is filled with topic Gyanendra.

Has anyone thought whats gonna happen even after he does give domocracy and appoints a PM and goes to the election....what then...the same story again, giria, makune, sher bahadur......so how is this really a better nepal.

yea ur right. ! It looks like all these people are on street just for netas. What is the difference between before and after? agian girija , makune , and sher bahadur ..
none of party will get 104 seat and again and agian dissolve government and even create a government with "Bina bibhagiya Mantri".. than why should we die??

Wish the poor fellows who gave their lives had thought deep and hard..and asked the Netas to lead them...not only in the Governmental positions, but in the streets as well....I really feel sorry for them.....I hope all their lives will not bring more corruption, neoptism and vandalism into Nepal.....King has to go....but so do some of the most corrupt faces in the political scenario of Nepal.......Gotta start from Girija...and rest will follow !!

Even if the anouncement do not include the maoist problem....that anounce do not solve the present crisis....

I think his incremental approach would add more fuel to the fire of people's movement. I am sure he would not bother to take responsibility of killing people under his govt order, let alone to sincerely apologize.

He appears to thin that his strongest trump card is make an offer to handover the state power (not sovereign power) to SPA under the condition that SPA should treat Maoist as terrorist. And he must have thought that SPA again starts fighting for PM's chair. This trick would have been worked two weeks back but now its too late.

In all probablity, his step would be about the reinstallation of parliament or inviting SPA to form government but without saying anything about change in King's powers, and new constitution.

I do not think this can calm down the street mass.
