Democracy in theory and application is an academic phenomenon. The Practice of democracy and its longevity depends on the cognitive capacity of the citizens of the country. There has to be a "maturity process" within the governing body as well as the general people, that simultaneoulsy grows with the democractic process. The truth of the matter is that Nepal is a very backward, oppressed nation that has been a closed society for many years. You have to understand that Democracy doesn't automatically equal Progress. The majority of the country is highly illiterate and agrarian. Industrialization and the ability to export capital and human resources is a necessary catalyst for democracy's growth. Democracy also requires visionary leadership which the country didn't have for many years. This is not a bleak situation, I think the country is rising to this awareness and people will learn from their past mistakes. It's going to take time.

do not agree some point with M5.

How people can learn from the past?

When same crooks political parties Leaders take leadership position until his or her death?

No new generation people or visionary new leaders can not take place of leadership.

Look at Girija, Deuba, Surya Bahadur Thapa, Madav.... all OLD TIME Thinkers and stupid people do not retire from parties.....

The only way to kick them out from political parties is that ASSASINATION TO THESE CROOKS.
