हुन त म त गणतन्त्र को पक्ष्यधर् हो तर पनि अहिले practical भयेर सोच्दा त्यो हुने छाट् देख्दिन, or it takes lot of blood bath। सथि हरुको बिचर् के छ??

I still think thats gonna be the right path, Obviously gyanendre wont dare to interfere now (Agulto le haneko kukur ho gyane aba ta), its only about how to convince the mass on street.. I think its now time for these politicians to show what it takes to be a politicians, yadi iniharule khehi garna sakenan bhane desh ko sthiti ...... ooofffff

I think it might even be a good idea to make somebody like gagan thapa, ram chandra poudel pledge to people that they are monitoring the to be primeminister, i think people now believe gasgan thapa more than girija.

I like your idea but then I don't want Gyane to be able to buy some time to think and try to manipulate the process. Looking at the heightening magnitude of the ongoing revolution, perhaps it may make more sense to continue this for a week or two and let Gyane succumb to the pressure. If the devil decides to reinstate the parliament and declares constitutional assembly then its fine. Else, we may think of your strategy. For now (I mean for at least a week), let this go on. It's not very often that we nepali come to this kind of revolutionary mood.

One week would not make a big difference, But if it is done at this moment, party's wont at all dare to bring former corrupt leaders in the decision making fearing people, natra ta netaharuko pani track record kaha ramro chha ra.

hami jant ko sthiti hernuna, gyanendre ko mukh ma thukna man lagchha, party ko neta prati biswas chhaina, maobadi lai samarthan garnna sakinna tara desh ko bare ma chinta lagchha, i dont know. I hop this revolution brings out a leader we can trust on like mahathir in malaysia, le kwan in singapore, chiang kai sheko in taiwan....... GOD BLESS NEPAL

Shiv,

You are right, but is it gonna make any difference by repenting on the past and cursing the leaders for all their deeds? It's a fact that multiparty party democracy is the eventual solution to build a platform of progress and we have to digest this fact as well that we DON'T have nelson mandela or mahatma gandhi in our leaders. Let's accept what we have and look for the solution with this.

I fully agree with you Nepalichhoro, but when you say " One week is not going to make any difference", I think you are under-estimating the ongoing revolution big time. We have to understand that this protest is not just a rally now, but it has shaped up as a revolution, and looking at its heightening magnitude each day, I see the intensity of the famous French revolution in it.

Apart from the international pressure, it was pressure from people like you and me which forced the king to step down a bit. If this revolution continues for another couple of weeks, I won't be surprised to see international community again asking king to give what we want--the constitutional assembly. But you are right, we should get ready for a nasty blood bath for it.

hheheeh

nepalichhoro,

so you are showing your true color, that is the cheap trick, first hardline "nara" then after king softens looking for "kursi".Gagan thapa and and ram chandra poudel monitoring the situation.
Gagan thapa and Ram chandra are political clone of Girija, satta ma navayee raja lai tarsauna sasatoo nara, raja naram vayepachi des ko sthiti vandai kursi ko love.
It seems that for you and others this andolan was a ladder to the kursi making general public stupid. By the way are you related to the corrupt and kursi lovi politician?
There is not much difference between Kings dogs who want power by autocratic way and you ppl who want kursi by using cheap nara followed by "ke garney desko chinta lagcha, we need to accept kings proposal"

Your idea looks good on paper but what about legality. They won't have legal power to reinstate the legislative power and go for CA. They can do it, but when their decision goes to court it couldn't pass the litmus test (btw all the kings steps were illegal but he had the guns)

I like your idea... I was thinking on the same line...let's see what they do

THATS WHAT WE LACKED IN PAST-- OR ELSE MILITARY WON'T BE KILLING PEOPLE IN nAGARKOT JUST LIKE THAT --THEY WOULD HAVE SOME FEAR OF PROSECUTION---ITS THAT FEAR OF LIFE THAT MAKES PEOPLE IN RIGHT TRACK INCLUDING BHRASTA netas-----REMEMBER THE LAUDA KANDA...COURT COULDN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY POWER---IF WE MAKE ALL THE REQUIRED PARTS EQUALL AND LAW MORE POWERFUL THEN OBVIOUSLY WE CAN MAKE SOME CHANGE I GUESS.. iTS NOT AN EXPERIMENT--ITS A FACT I BELIEVE( AS WE HAVE SEEN IN MANY OTHER DEVELOPED COUNTRIES)---I AM JUST SAYING DIVIDE THEIR POWER ---AND THE ONLY PLACE WHERE WE KNOW ARE THE MOST INTELLEGENT PEOPLE ARE FOR SURE IN nyepalika__DON'T YOU THINK THERE ARE REAL SMART PEOPLE IN nyapalika, WORTHY OF DOING SOMETHING BUT YET FORGETTON BECUASE THEY LACKED POWER.--??? HOW ABOUT IF RIGHT NOW SUPREME COURT HAD ABSOLUTE POWER IN THE SITUATION LIKE THIS---IT WOULD HAVE ALREADY TOOK OFF MONARCY ACTING ON WHAT PEOPLE WANT AND ALL THOSE BHRASTA NETAS WOULD BE PROSECUTED ACCORDING TO PUBLIC DEMAND, AND WOULD BE ROTTEN IN JAIL RIGHT NOW ......but WE DIDN'T MAKE OUR CONSTITUION THAT DIVIDED POWER..,,THAT WAS A MISTAKE......I KNOW THERE IS CORRUPTION EVERYWHERE BUT ATLEAST WE CAN STOP CORRUPTION AND ILLIGAL ACTS OF THOSE RULING OUR COUNTRY BY DIDVING THEIR POWER AND LETTING THEMSELF CHECK AND BALANCE EACH OTHER...WHAT DO U THINK??

who become PM, or how to conduct election for constitutional assembly are solution for political parties. I dont think general public participated in andolan to push certain parties in power. now political parties must come with plan
1. How to create lots of employment
2. How to create a situation where every child can go to school within 5 yrs
3. Drinking water to at least 50 nepalis
4. Cheap electricity for 100% nepalis within 10 yrs
dont ypu think general public want that ?

Road map to get the "satta" is nothing new, has happeend before but if SAP are responsible they must come up with the plan to make life of general public easier. otherwise formation of new govt, new constitution through constitutional assembly then running the govt in same old style brings nothing but another movement after few yrs.
Is it too much for general public to ask to SAP what is your plan for us ? they can go to power no problem but must immediately start working for general public

No..I guess Nepal does need a lot of political experiments. Unless we do experiments how the hell anyone going to know which system works and which doesnt.

I believe Maoism in Nepal was (is) also an experiment so was (is) the liberal democracy. We saw the experiments of Rana autocracy as well as experiment with monarchy autocracy.

I believe simply politics wont solve the problem...Nepalis needs social and economic justice and fairness in conjunction with fair political system.

Dear respondants,
No disagreement on what you said, but nepal doesn't have public jury system (Like they have in USA), which can convict somebody even without any physical evidence) and court needs substantial evidence of corruption, which is hard to get in most of the corruption cases. I think these kind of clause may help in governance,
1) Prime minister ( or president )has full authority of selecting ministers
2) Member of parliament cant be made a minister but they approve, monitor, and grill the ministers performance.

what this will do is , brainy, experienced people from public can handle the burocracy and elected people will monitor everything (pretty much like american model). What it does is, prevent politicians from directly being involved in day to day decision making(where most of the corruption is) and since they cant earn money illegally they will certainly keep an eye in ministers.
WHATEVER SAID
Most important, HONESTY, INTEGRATY, and PASSION to do somethig for the country.
HOPEFULLY, Constituent Assembly will pave the way

While I agree with most of you, thinking practically, Nepal would be truly a failed state if we don't have a PM in the next one week.

The ground realities is that we do not have any Politicians other than the corrupt ones, the brutal Maoist and the King who seems to have lost all his respect. Therefore, until and unless we have the new leaders, we have to choose one or a combination of what we have. The hysterical demand of the SPA for the King to leave is stupid; they do know that once the King is gone, they will try without success to propose bring the country in control. At the same time they are stupid not to expect that the Maoist will then march right into KTM. I am pretty sure that the Maoist will either detain or kill all these SPAs (its not the first timel, is it?)

Frankly, I beg the SPAs to decide on a PM, let the new PM reinstate the parliament and propose a constitutional assembly. Honestly, what is the average brain weight of SPA politicians ... it has to be in micro grams and no more than a double digit!

Haku

You are absolutely right birader, NO offense But what I am saying is lets divide their power. Lets make Judiaciary system an integral part in our lives as well as theirs. so there will always fear in their heart. We can think about it later though but if we can do this right away then it will be the best thing we'll ever had. A Court that can order KING to do what is higly moral--imagine...I just have a dream like Martin Luther..:)

anybody has any different constructive suggestion , please

Dont use vague solution like gyanendre should be thrown away ( though i support it), and maoist must be givven oppurtunity to rule ( though i oppose it) , cause these kind of things are possible but pay ask for lot of nepalese life, so i would rather prefer an acceptable solution mith minimal harm to human life.

Any measures may be taken, but the maoists need to be disarmed fully before going for the Constituent Assembly.

nepalichhoro,
>an acceptable solution mith minimal harm to human life
It is easy said than done.
There are three sides to peace equation in Nepal. King, Parties and Maobadis. When can there be peace when one side wants complete extermination of the other. It is sad but our situation reminds me something like that of the of middle east crisis Palestinians want complete eradication of Israel and vice versa. How can there be peace when one party cannot negotiate with the other??
Our leaders are nothing but visionless and corrupt. They will not mind selling their mothers and sisters for the mighty buck. Maobadis are the worst killers they do not mind killing their own parents if they disagree with their ideologies. King G falls in between both. So you tell if there is anyone who is willing to take responsibility for anything they have done or will do in the future.
These MF netas want to exploit the masses that is going out of hand to use it to their benefit, nothing more.
If they have little bit of commonsense they should negotiate with the king and do what ever needs to be done, after they are in charge. May be driving the king out or what ever. The solution they have or lack of solution that is to watch the country go in chaos and take advantage of it when it fails for their personal gain. They had not thought of the nation or the people and never will. Unless new leadership emerges out of these parties these parties will further drive Nepal into chaos not out of it.
