CNBC-Asia Reports.,
NEPAL

SPA Inc., a joint venture formed by 7 major political forces in Nepal has announced via a press release this morning that the venture will be laying off close to 120,000 temporary protestors hired for the recent Protest against the Dictatorial Regime, King Gyanendra. Talking to CNBC Asia, the premiere of the SPA and the next PM of Nepal, G.P. Koirala said, “Nepal was in a huge economic crisis, and in order to rebuild the economy, we are forced to take this rather unpopular move.” He added, our next government will follow the philosophy of “Rebuild one family at a time” and he said it will start from his family. My daughter, Sujata had to invest heavily during the recent protests, and her stash was depleted. He also added, because of added dual responsibility, the PM and NC’s top leader, he might need few new vehicles with wheel-chair accessibility.

On a separate news, RPP, a faction of old King’s regime has announced that they are willing to accommodate 30,000 of the laid off protestors for their protest programs in the near future. RPP premiere added, “Our sound economy as a result of loot from more than 40 years of being in the government can withstand any influx and will have a substantial ROI (return on investment) in 12-18 months by adding those protestors.

However, the Maoists groups have threatened to break the pact formed between the SPA and themselves if their supporters are heavily laid off during this process. They complained, “We went through severe injuries to our key personnel during the protests, and the benefits provided to us was sub-standard”. Also reported that this will severely affect their presence in the capital, and a huge mass of their Commanders will have to go underground once again. It is interesting to note that Maoists have threatened to not join the SPA movement anytime soon, and might actually fight their will against the SPAs.

With that news coming out, Next PM, GP Koirala is sending his daughter to an Indian State of Bihar to hold talks with the Minister of Bihar on temporary worker program between SPA, and the residents of Bihar. It is learnt that mutual agreement has been reached and Bihar is willing to send as many as 300,000 protesters, under the condition that all 300,000 temporary protestors will be given amnesty in Nepal, and they will be offered permanent residency, and eventually the citizenship of Nepal. The premiere of Bihar has also agreed that if needed, he can talk to the Government officials in New Delhi and if needed, bring more temporary protestors from neighboring Bhutan as well.

(Disclaimer: This is a fiction. Please read with your conscience.)

superb.. simply superb..
I dislike Girija from the bottom of my guts. I hate girija and makune equally for what they did. Now let us keep our feelings aside and unite for a greater cause. Let us all support Girija to get rid of the insurgency once and for all. I hope Girija to pressure India to quell the maobadi leaders that are in "safe heaven" in India and do more in house to control the -out of control insurgents.

Good work!

People got nothing at the end. Because of the crooked netas like Girija, people just died for nothing. This was such a great opportunity for people of Nepal to get rid of king and family but because of the selfishness of the netas, we were not able to do anything.

I think same happened with the Ranas many years back, when British wanted to give back the land we originally lost on the war, the Ranas refused to take it in the fear that those educated people will rule them over.

We Nepalis seem so very less fortunate.

LOL

That was hilarious, KnightCrawler!! But I'm sure it won't be funny when we start to see these things happen....which I have no doubt it won't.

Ah well....as the saying goes "just another day in the neighborhoo"...it's just another government in Nepal...by just another julus....just another nominated PM...last but not the least, just another start of a new misery for the Nepali people!

P.S. Listen today's BBC Nepali service interview with Baburam and testament their shameless naked hypocrisy.

I was not hopeful about what happened but if they call for election for 'Constitutional
Assembly', Moist could come into mainstream politics and also decide on the fate of the
Monarchy. If that happens, I will not be very very disappointed.

However, I do agree that we could just get that from this movements within 2-3 weeks.

My special personal regards for the people who participated in those protests.
But....,
here is an anecdote "the celebrating mass in Nepal" can learn even from that community of rats.
A young flibbertigibbet mouse stood up with a gleam with his eyes and delcared, "Okay!, we can't keep losing our brother and sister rats to the voracious cat. Let's put a big bell around his neck so that it rings loudly whenever he comes around the corner and we can all dart for covers!!". "YAY!!!!!!!!!!(^n)", cheered the rest of the mass except one sagacious and old mouse. He went up the dais and quizzed "But who amongst us will put the bell around the villainous cat's neck". The cheers instantly hit a downward spiral.

Now, in Nepal we can celebrate only if the maoist problem is solved first. The abolition of corruption, creation of equal oppurnity for all, establishment of a just and equitable society etc are the other goals we can worry about next.

I don't mean to be too critical but the reinstatement of the parliament is just like treating the symptoms but not the real disease.
One question arises at this point.Who was victorious in this protests?
It's not the people of Nepal, it's Girija and his band of brothers. You figure the rest.

Nice one Knight,

I wish this will remain fiction.... Watch out..... Slave Drivers from the jungle are prying on recent layoff.

However, each of these layoffs are given a little share of the company while buying them out. I am not sure but I hope they will bring in better management team to improve their company before this management files for chapter 13.

Very intelligent posting. Comments? ..... majaa aayo.I do not like to say no body came stinking around. I just heard Amik Serchan saying Girija was unwilling to become PM, but they forced him to hold the post....... Yo sab par laune usko huti le napugne thanyo. This is a good symtom that he will take assistance of some of Sambhu thapas or Krishna pahadis( I mean to leader of the Civil societies) as we did in 2046.
