first of all i this is the follow up of don corleone's origianal thread...the thread was too long ..so i started a new one.. don corleone no offence please..n where is everything ..this is answer to his/her reply in don corleons thread
To my Non-vegetarian friends... being a vegetarian myself, at the age of 13 becoz i simply couldnot see the khasi's head being chopped off in dashain.....my parents were still non veg and they did not impose any will on my personal belief....and i did not have any religious obligation not to eat meat coz i happen to me from a family where i ate meat since i was child...here are some points i would like to make ..
1. I still get along well with my non veg friends and never impose my personal beliefs
onto them.
2. I never try to potray them as outcast or inferior by not using the same serve spoon
or cooking pot.
3. My vegetarian behavior comes out of my strong belief which i strongly feel for.
4. SO, please don't say that vegetarians are arrogant and simply show off.
5. After coming to US, I have a hard time reinforcing and convincing myself about my
belief because after a lot of things fell on my shoulder for the first time and i have to
cope with the society (literally for the first time),,,, i couldnot stop thinking that the
fittest of all survives ....my perception of the reality has changed now. and i am still
fighting a war within myself about my belief vs. my struggle for existence in this
competitive world.
6. I do not have any problem you being non veg but please don't make the situation
awkward for vegetarians during socialising.
