Hey Guys,

Is anyone working through Deshi consultancy? Any successes? Fraustrastions? Pro and Cons? How is the pay? how relaible is it? Is it worth while?I wanna hear it from who has done with the consultancy. I am tired of looking for a real job. No one seems to hire me for my F1 status and no experience. I have undergrad degree in CIS and MBA in finance and accounting.

Good and Bad are listed below.

Indian company should be treated as a train station. You stay with them until you get project from American country. If you are laid off from American country, go back to Indian company for short project. After that you can move to other American comapany again.

Good:
1- You can stay attached with Indian's company even if you are not in payroll.
2- With that H1 you can keep on searching job in your own way without letting them know. (For this you have some paystubs to go to other company)
3 - They also keep trying to find contract job for you. It depends on your interview.

Bad:
1- You are not paid if you are not in project. If you transferred H1 to them and you have not had any project then you are trapped. You can not move to any company. You can move to onther company ONLY after working for few months through their company.
2 -They never calculate your accruel of personal leave.
3- They mostly don't cover insurance for your family if you are married

I am joining one from tomorrow, basically I am taking my chances since my opt expires pretty soon.Cant say much about it except that I have heard its not that bad.

Let me know how it goes hyperthread, i will check with u in couple months to see how it goes...i still have 10 more months for my opt. Im trying to find a job on my own first. I tried that with my undergrad degree and didnt get no where excpet some helpdesk jobs. But lets see how my Masters OPT goes.
