Nepal will ultimately be a external part of India. Unlike Bhutan Nepal will be one of the states of India after the SPA does away with CROWN. I think it will be better for Nepal to be a part of India economically, socially and also politically. Nepal depends on India for everthing from food to its spending budget. So, why not it be a part of India, so Nepalese people who are often called as "bahadurs" gets lots of employment here.
It is good in a way that Nepal is getting done with its CROWN, which is a unity factor of the country. I suppose, being a part of India, Nepal will prosper and its people will benefit from India's progress.
I often see lots of ill-comments on Indians but Nepalis should be aware of where it stands. Your leaders rush to India for consultations, and often get money for political reasons. Your leaders like Koirala, Gautam and so on are just traders... with no self respect. How could you Nepalis say Nepal is a sovereign country when you guys beg for money with other international communities like beggars in alms?
Please you guys should throw away your King... it will be better for India to implement themselves with the help of your political traders!

Satash, if you are not JayMehta, why do you say "Track me if you can" in response to the comments of M5 against Jaymehta. You slipped here man.
Secondly the vulgur and dirty words that are coming out of your mouth indicates that you are a garbage box or a deshi septic tank.

Ok this is quite serious ,
I have some indians friend who seriously feels that Nepal would prosper under India and there will be more jobs and food for people(not that all India has food) .I opposed them saying u can't take our freedom. Then is freedom important or peace and food???????????

One second Thought, We have so much cultural, religious ,language similarities with India .what would be wrong to be under india?????Anyways we are governed by shadow govt of India .and our so called political leaders are fiercely loya to indial .Even Maoist are driven by indian maoist.when they come to power .They will still be loyal. So whats wrong guys i want seroius answer don't start calling me india loyal okiee dokiee.

Being part of India won't give the solution for peace and food in Nepal. By UNICEF, India holds the rank of 4th nation in the world in malnourished children. India has its own internal problem with terrorists in all the seven sisters state in northeast and states in south. So how come being a part of India will make Nepal a happier state? India is a neighbor friend of Nepal and it should remain in that way.

jay mehta is right.........nepal's economy has almost hit rock bottom and without India's help it will take another 100yrs to get back to average. No matter what we think....Monarchy was somewhat a symbol of unity for nepal now since its gone therez gonna be a power struggle between the political parties themselves and also with the Maoists. So finally India will take control because both the maoists and the netas they do whatever India tells them to do...whenever they have a problem they go to India begging for advice wagging their tails like a dog does when his master shows him a piece of bone. India is using the politicians and the maoists to benefit themselves. whatever is happening was all instigated by India and now they are very close towards achieving their goal. Nepal will be a part of India and all of us will be watching and blaming people like we've always done. Gyanendra didnt kill Late King Birendra the INdians did ....thats what i think....If an Indian gangsta could conspicuously murder a nepali member of Parliament and still be untouched....i dont think planning to kill the royal family would be a big deal for them........

Nepal: A suicidal approach to national security

BY KRISHNA SINGH BAM

The real significance of the latest turn of political events in Nepal lies less in the victory of the Seven Party Alliance (SPA) than in the defeat of the Maoist rebels.

During the mainstream parties' four-year stalemate with King Gyanendra, following the monarch's dismissal of Nepal's last elected government in 2002, the Maoists stood to gain the most. Although the rebels overran many institutions and installations in the rural regions, they could not hold on to their conquests. Virtually conceding their failure to capture Kathmandu, the Maoists needed something to disguise their defeat.

They entered into an alliance with the SPA against the monarchy. The 12-point SPA-Maoist accord benefited its Indian sponsors, alarmed by King Gyanendra's effort to pull Nepal out of India's sphere of influence. For the SPA, the Maoists could galvanize their sputtering "anti-regression" movement. Considering the influence the accord's architects wielded within the SPA, rational voices in the mainstream parties warning of the alliance's abnormality never stood a chance.

In keeping with their line of attack, the Maoists had hoped to infiltrate the April protests sufficiently to radicalize them into a springboard for a total takeover of the state. The appearance and temperament of most of the protesters during the final days of the showdown underscored the fact that the SPA had simply lost control of events. Fortunately, saner minds in the palace and in the SPA prevented Nepal from becoming a communist totalitarian state.

Maoist supremo Prachanda and chief ideologue Dr. Baburam Bhattarai vented their anger at the supposed "sellout" by the SPA. The fact that, after blowing hot and cold, the Maoists are ready to participate in the Koirala government's peace process underscores their defeat. Yet their setback could prove remarkably temporary in the absence of prudence on the part of the SPA.

In the weeks since King Gyanendra restored the House of Representatives, the SPA has been moving swiftly to assert its control. By revoking royal ordinances, recalling palace-appointed ambassadors, suspending bureaucratic and security officials, among other things, the SPA is intent to make a clean break with the past.

The rush to slash royal powers, prerogatives and privileges, although misguided, nevertheless does conform to successive reform programs advanced by the SPA over the last four years.

What is most objectionable is the SPA's sustained onslaught on the Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) as part of its democratization agenda. The MPs should have pondered why the Maoists had failed to takeover Kathmandu and consummated their revolution. Because of the RNA. By denigrating the "royal" prefix, the SPA is ignoring the other reality of its tradition: commitment to the country. The palace's association with the army no doubt goes back to King Prithvi Narayan Shah's often-bloody national unification campaign more than two centuries ago. The corollary of that linkage is the RNA's commitment to upholding the unity and integrity of Nepal.

The SPA is entitled to its view that royal control of the army represents a threat to democracy. After all, it is politically inexpedient to delve into the distortions between 1990 and 2002, which political parties were firmly in charge, which spawned the Maoist insurgency. Deleting the royal prefix and bringing the army under the control of parliament thus may be a politically prudent move toward democratization.

As national security policy, it is wholly counterproductive. To be sure, the top rungs of the army are dominated by members of social classes who are either related to the royal family or share a deep affinity with the palace for a variety of reasons. Diluting the dominance of these classes henceforth becomes a critical part of democratization of the army. But that is a superficial argument, considering the absence of a replacement. The best the SPA can hope for is to entice younger and mid-level army officers and patronize them for top leadership positions. This course runs the risk of politicizing the military, not anything sinister per se.

However, the country has already paid a heavy price for the politicization of the police and intelligence service. Over the last four years, moreover, SPA leaders must have recognized the untrustworthiness of political patronage as a pillar of self-preservation. What compounds the SPA's inanity is the ease with which it views an integrated national army as a pillar of democratic stability. RNA chief Gen. Pyar Jung Thapa has acknowledged the possibility of incorporating Maoist fighters into the army. He qualified his comment by stressing the terms "experience" and "qualifications". The propensity to consider a politically indoctrinated group of guerrilla fighters with unknown academic and professional abilities compatible with the demands of a national army is puerile at best.

Even if such an easy fusion were possible, where would this leave the SPA? The fickleness of a politically subservient officer corps and the ideological viscosity of ex-guerrillas can only prove disastrous. Unless, of course, the SPA is banking on the Indian military to intervene formally and periodically in the interest of upholding democracy in Nepal.

Canada is under the influence of USA.
UK follows whatever USA says and So Australia and So Japan does.

Can anyone question why Canada should not be annexed to USA? Why UK or Australia shouldn't be US terrotories?

And you Indians, aren't you under the influence of British? You ride train on the railway developed by India. You drink tea introduced by British. Despite you have your own Hindi and so many other languages, English has been medium language in India. Why not India should be again taken over by British? What's wrong in it?

You Indians will be proud to become "Angrej".

Oe Jaymehta!! I have a suggestion for you,go to Kathmandu or any other places in Nepal and try saying all these shits to some Nepalese in his face and later u will probably have yourboth leg broken and you will probably require thousands of stiches in all part of your body that even your mom wont recocnise you and then you will realise how bad this idea of india taking over nepal is...being called bahadur is not that a big deal because it carries a big meaning itself, probably you are so stupid that you never knew that how great a country Nepal is.Nepal is a country who never surrenderd in front of the British empire unlike you DHOTIS & chatpates and you indians "hyaak thuuuu" should be grateful to the British because they stole our land and gave it to you..what have you guys done for yourself?? you still ride the same train, speak the same language...you have places like Bihar which will never develop because British were not intrested in that place when they were ruling your country...so never ever try to offend any self-respected nepalese,we are happy with the things that is going in our country and we are very proud of ourselves.

First of all, a middle fingered welcome to Jay mehta and his supporters:- F*cking perverts, asshole, d*ckheads, behanchuth(sister f*cker), MACHUTH(MOTHER F*CKER).

How the f*ck you even think of annexing Nepal to India?

Though our country, Nepal may be fraction of your country's area but our country's pride cannot be beaten and never had.
Just look at the f*cking history of your country dhoti, You don't have even your identification. How come? Let me tell you how?

Our country has the most prideous single and only name that glooms by itself as Nepal but you dhoti's are called Bharat in your own country and India by other aliens.
What the f*ck? Ya don't have even your own name just like whore who does not stay with one mate. Asshole, India is name christened by British people when they slaved ya's ass to work and that means, you are somewhat like F*cking british ruled
perverts.

Similarly, Ya country's people are considered most stingy, mean, ill-tempered people in whole earth. Just ask any american citizen about ya's characters
and they will bitchslap your face without touching just by cursing words just like, son of bitch, jerk, f*ck face.

In addition to this, How do ya think ya's country's developed?
Oh ya talking abt bombay(ops british name mumbai), New Delhi were all developed by f*cking british rulers.

Look at ya's villages and people how f*cking poor they are, they ain't got even no bed for husband and wife to copulate,
no single grain of rice to share within the family, no f*cking room to dissipate stoolS but atleast go to villages of our country, every people has got atleast
small hut to live, a field full of paddy and a charpi(toilet) to dissipate.

CHOLERA, MALARIA, POLIO ARE ALMOST ERADICATED IN OUR COUNTRY WHEREAS EVEN DIARRIHOA, MALNUTRITION HAS BEEN THE FOREMOST AND MAJOR DISEASE IN YOUR COUNTRY.

Though our people watch lot of your movies, listen to your songs that does not mean we belong to you crazy f*ck.
Cricket, the only game which ya are good at, is left defecated by british rulers.

Feel it as Reality hurts. Ya dhoti's can't even defeat small country pakistan and are always busy tricking them to win against them.

Ya didn't suceed annexing pakistan with ya's country india, how the f*ck ya think of annexing nepal with your country.

We nepali fight for injustice, broaden our shoulders for sovereignty, die for our country but ya dhoti's flee for yourself. Damn dhoti's.

What the f*ck is wrong with ya? Didn't ya hear the most gayest movie-star Hrithik kanda?
So Respect our country dhotis, British left semen headed f*ckface.

It will be better if India takes over than to be under Maoists. I feel if they succeed people will be praying for India to take over than to live under the fear of Maoist terrorists. We all know that SPA is corrupt, lacks strong ideal leadership like we see in India and not only that they lack vision too. It is all because they don't have any love for the nation. The recent proclamation shows it is going in favour of Maoism. It is like opening the path or making them easy to takeover. There may come a time when constituent assembly may not be neccessary ie the maoists will just topple this govt. and takeover everything. Maoists know very well that SPA is nothing for them. They know that they have no peoples' support. Had Maoists not brought people noone would come for SPA. It is the King and the army who were their main hindrance as Thomas A Mark in his article "hope is not the solution" has indicated. Now that both the institution have been made weak, Maoists may be making further strategies. Believe my words--- it is not difficult for Maoists to thow SPA whenever they want- esp 2 congress. UML will help the Maoists in doing so.

This thread is the clear exampl of how fool we nepalese are. Mr. Jay Mehata, an indian imposter, is succesful to ignite the fire and warming up his hands and enjoying the foolish boil of Nepalese.
He would be defeated and frustrated, if no body had replied to his thread.
Wake nepalese!

Nepal and India
Sir, –The article ‘India’s security dilemma in Nepal’ by Dr Jyotirmoy Das Chowdhury (AT, may 12) is a class of its own and deserves congratulation. Dr Das Chowdhury has discussed in details the long term security issues relating to Nepal and concludes that Nepal should be incorporated as an Indian State. The Nepalese in India would certainly welcome this gesture, but will Nepal be fortunate enough like Sikkim to get this benefit soon ?– Yours etc., DIL BAHADUR GURUNG, Mangaldoi.
