Maoists demand 50 percent of the government budget
Kathmandu, 22 May: UML General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal along with Deputy PM K.P. Oli, Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Finance Minister Ram Saran Mahat and NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel together have requested the Maoists not to rise extortion from those people involved in any kinds of profession or business, writes Janasatta weekly.
Maoist supremo Prachanda had confessed that they are having difficulties in controlling its militia, so they were compelled for extortion.
UML General Secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal had announced that the state will provide Maoists with the necessary amount in order to look after its militia.
Finance Minister Ram Saran Mahat requested the Maoists to stop their activity of collecting donations from the people or else the government will be forced to take necessary actions against such activity. Mahat stated that a reasonable solution could be squeezed out by holding dialogue between the government and Maoists in order to take care after their armies.
Maoist Supremo Prachanda has demanded a half of the government’s yearly budget in order to carry out development works of the nation and take care after the Maoists armies.
