Maha Rocks San Francisco

The famous MaHa duo, Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya, have begun the tour of the United States with Mani Ratna Kansakar, Kiran KC, Prem Raja Mahat, Pooja Chand, Meera Acharya and Yaman Shrestha to raise funds for Help Nepal Network (HeNN), a global charity run by Nepalese living in different parts of the world. The fund raised from the show would build a 13-bed health post in a remote Haripurwa village in Sarlahi district with the estimated cost of US$ 25,000.

MaHa performed their first show in San Francisco on June 17, 2006. They performed two comedy episodes, “Shraddha” and “Abhinandan”. Both the episodes relayed serious messages about their concern for the greater good of Nepali society with satirical humor from the Maha duo, Mani Ratna Kansakar and Pooja Chand.

Not just the Maha duo, but also the entire Maha team, Kiran KC, Pooja Chand and Yaman Shrestha surprised the audiences proving they are good singers and they can dance good too. Prem Raja Mahat mesmerized the whole audiences singing his old classic songs including Sim Sime Pani Ma with beautiful actress, Pooja Chand. Despite busy life in the US, Yaman Shrestha released a new album and sang couple of songs from the album.

One of the main organizers of the MaHa Saanjh in San Francisco, Anil Pandey, President of Motherland Nepal, a non profit organization, said, "The goal of the tour is to raise funds and raise awareness about missions and achievements of HeNN, Motherland, and other local associations. The non-profit organizations are trying their best to contribute and have significant impacts on the needy communities.” He further added, “We are overwhelmed with the support of Nepalese residents in San Francisco. I have never seen so many Nepalese under one roof for any shows in the city. Nepalese Association of Northern California played a tremendous role by posting the information about the show in their website and spreading the word around. I encourage all the Nepalese from all walks of life to go and enjoy the shows in their nearby cities to support the good works of the organizations and at the same time honor the works of our all time favorite Maha.”
Established in 1999, Help Nepalese Network is spread in a dozen different countries with registered chapters in Australia, Nepal, the UK and the USA. With a slogan 'One Dollar a Month Fund for Nepal,' HeNN aims to raise at least a dollar a month from every Nepali to provide access to health and education to the needy communities in Nepal.

Motherland Nepal is California based non-profit organization established with a specific purpose to improve the quality of life of Nepalese people by assisting in social progress, cultural development and economic growth of the Nepalese people. The organization was established in 2003 with its main focus on education.

The Maha show will continue in Denver (June 24), Dallas (June 25), Boston (July 01), New York (July 08), Washington DC (July 15), and Baltimore (July 16). Various local Nepali organizations and associations are collaborating with HeNN to organize the shows in all the seven cities.

By the way I had never wrote book about Paras sarkar.I did wrote a book about Nepal politic called Des ko boli(voice of countray) and I am sorry sir I do not have his autograph either. And just for your kind information 23 year’s ago we had act together I mean hari bansha dai and me we had act together .
Let me tell you once and last that I am for the people to and if you have time please find out what I had done for the people of Nepal.

nobody has given me a wrong information about you. i have seen and read your post. you were always against democracy maybe beacause of your ansistors being guru or puret of the palace.
second thing is i have met maha personally before leaving nepal and i know their mentality and am amazed they are hanging with a guy who were shouting against democracy. maybe after gyane was kicked out you have changed your principal or maybe not but we need to investigate how on earth a guy who has been working openly for democracy can hang around with a panche who shouts about nepal doesn't need democracy, who still believes nepalese are slave and should be ruled and not given any rights. interesting isn 't it?

but how on earth are you suddenly a president of a charity organisation? my head has started to spin. you a mandale supporting people's suppression suddenly is a president of an organisation that claim to be non-profit public charity. man you mandales have brains now since you cannot ask your master to rule you are hiding behind a charity program. so that means this so called mother land is a mandale's agenda representative in disguise?
This organisation should be banned esp in a democratic country like USA.

and no matter how much you call yourself a democratic you won't be. if and if all right parase chor gadha fatah janta mara will try to take Nepal's government by bloodshed, peacefully he won't have a chance, you'll be the first one to celebrate and will be merry making doing' deepavali etc. So that makes you a mandale. you can never prove me wrong. and you have tried to change your disguise after chor gyane was pulled from his throne.

I could not attend MAHAs show but the ones who attended had nothing good to say about it, all they said was 'it was the worst presentation, ever. You did not miss it'. The only good thing about the show was that they are raising money for charity.
