Try Tibetal OM restaurant in Jackson heights. It's off 72nd and Roosevelt Avenue. (I think it's 72nd, might be 73rd). Anyways right around the corner is a Nepali restaurant called Himalayan Yeti or something like that where they serve Nepali thali - I didn't get to go to the Yeti place.

I heard for momos OM is good, for other general Nepali food, Yeti is good. If I had time I would have checked them both out.

Fried momos weren't that good but the steamed momos were good and juicy!

although exactly not the nepali momo, there is this place in Chinatown that sells fried dumplings for dirt cheap.

the shop is on Mosco Street (between Mott and Mulberry Street). it has a sign saying 'fried dumplings' and you get 5 for $1. and they taste awesome! dont forget the hot sauce as well.

Mo:Mo is good in TANGRA, Grand Ave, Queens too. That is an Indian Resturant but cooks and all the other staffs are Nepalese. I am going to NY after couple of weeks and I will eat lots of MOMOs.
