It's because there is another guy Shoaib Mallik, who can bowl as good as he does and can bat far better than he does.

Saqlain Mushtaak was one of my favourite player back then. I do miss him these days. Infact I miss cricket as a whole. Have not watched live matches for so long :(

Ha ha ha
that was funny anjeet.

I saw him with awefully long weird beard. I don't know what's wrong with these Pakistani Players. Sayed Anwar was so good and later he came with his long beard. He even didn't look like normal man. Is there rule or something that after this age they need to grow beard?

Well, it's their choice though!

Saeed Anwar's daughter died and after that he became very religious. And I believe it is because of that he grew his beard.

the dude is one of the brilliant off-spinners i have seen... i still remember that one day match against Australia in 99 where he took 3 wickets in 2nd last over to wrap up the innings and the match which looked in aussies favor throughout until he came to bowl that over..a genius he is!

and the test match against India in Madras, where he got Tendulkar out was one heck of a match with Pak winning by 10 odd runs...

mushtaq is more of a one day bowler than test though. he had not have much success in test as compared to one dayers...perhaps that is the reason why he is not in the team. also, pak cricket is always full of controversies and dirty politics, that may have marred his chances of a place.

whatever may be the reason, he is a fascinating bowler to watch. Even Murlidharan took a tip or two for the lethal "dusra" delivery the he mastered with great ease.

LooTe

Shaqlain Mustaq used to be a good bowler, but he used to get so easily frustrated while batting. It was sad- i always used to wait for him to make half a century. Not to mention- he was a cutie!! Another good bowler for pak was Afridi with his every 5 min ma hair grooming jhatkaas (hai raam). and i also think the south african ex team captain hansie cronje used to be uber hot- The austrailians were ugly, and SriLankans used to shine in the fields along with west indians (with sweaty foreheads)...
