guys, do you have any idea within what period we've enter Canadian terrority from the date of issue of S-1(MULTIPLE) visa. My admission offer from university tells that I can defer the program by 2007 winter.

question is, if I want to delay or defer my entry to Canada for a semester i.e. I don't want to go in this Fall, but would prefer to go in coming Spring ( April), IS IT OKAY?

Or, do i need to take the visa again?

date of issue of vias has nothing to do as you want to defer at least one term. what matters is the validity period of the issued visa. you will see the date until when the visa is valid on the (visa) stamped page. If it is April (Spring term starts in the first May), you can enter by that date so don't need to reapply for visa.

However, you must make sure that your Offer of Admissoin Letter is also valid up to the Spring. Since it is not as you mentioned, you must ask the university to reissue one as Bhaute suggested. The university and the supervisor-to-be may agree on your plan if you have some valid reason why you want to defer your admission for 4 more months. Good Luck!!

>>> one is validity of the issued visa of entry to Canada and the other is the validity of the stay in Canada

WHERE ARE THOSE DATES, bro/sis. Thaha_Payen.

There are Date of Issue : 07/08/2006 and Expiry Date: 12/01/2008

The graduate faculty has written, "This acceptance is valid from the Spring/Summer 2006 semester to the Winter 2007 semester. You are expected to start your program within this time".
