okay,
another social subject. i know most of you hate to discuss about politics so here i am hehe....

i am planning to practice celibacy (abstinence from marriage and sexual intercourse :P :P)... but i am not sure whether it's going to be possibe. At status quo, i am pretty much determined though.

1) do you think getting married is important?

2) can't we not live single forever?

3) what is there in sex?....it's just an emotion which can be suppressed if you are really determined.

and no, i am not going to leave my home, friends, social life and go to jungle for "budwatwa" or anything.. i am just talking about celibacy? is it possible?

Let's discuss!!! hehe

These are some of the very many questions I have too. I am not sure if I want an answer to the human nature like Loote does. I am looking for an answer more for myself. Again this whole thing might be inter-connected and the answer for one could be on the other. I will be following this thread for comments.
Also humanitarian, can you pleaseeee open a new thread for your maoist discussion.

I think when a person realizes herself and her surroundings, then the person can surely practice celibacy and yet be content. Realization is a simple word, yet so complicated to some...or should I say, to a lot of people?

awatar,

you have a different line for the definition of celibacy. "once you experience orgasm, you are not celibate", well that may be correct but i am not looking at the scientific definition. orgasm can well be achieved from "night fall" and other modes (natural) even when you abstain from sex.

i am looking at psychological arena for celibacy. what makes a person feel that they should get married or get hooked for that matter.

in general i am thinking of "is there a thin line of difference between sex and marriage or sex and human emotion?." i know sex is a part of human emotion. what if we don't cry when someone close to us dies? similarly what if we abstain from sex, from marriage? i don't want the social explanation, i am into psychology hehe.

fucchu,
thanks for bringing this up. i know people here take any kind of talk on sex as cheezy conversation. they fail to grasp the aesthetic value. you seem to have understood the thread better than anyone. :)

Shwetaa,
it's not about me or you. it's about the human nature. can someone really abstain from marriage or physical desires. can you remain married or stay with your bf/whoever yet absaining from sex (just an assumption)? don't teach me nirvana and other deep philosphies hehe..

ss74k,
pour your feelings here. this is what sajha is about haina ra?

sajhfuser,
i nearly had a heartattack when imi told me that you have been abducted by prachanda and you've been riding with him in a helicopter in rolpa :P. glad to see you back...ani aru ke chha heroine? :P

okay loote, celebicy is possible but in practicle it is very hard..like wise marriage seems to be all of fun but in reality it is also difficult to maintain for a long time i mean until death do apart...i think marriage is not only for sex, it is for sharing difficulties, happiness, sorrowness between husband and wife..nomatter what you say..when difficulties comes its always husband and wife to go hand in hand...
but one may say it is possible when one is single...
but when i see it upto long term..i see all people busy in their family life, they have their own problem, they have there own story, and for the single people it is hard to share these types of feelings...yeah you might have sister, brother or cousin but in reality everybody has their own life and they might not be there for you forever.....

sorry i am not good in explaining...i can only talk but i just hate writing..he he he

hehehe..ya prachanda had asked me for some advice so I was a little busy dealing with it :P
I'm very much fine and I'm getting finer ss74k heheehehehe...

Ok humans are social animals. So they obviously need someone to talk to. But that someone doesn't need to be a spouse. A spouse can make one's life easier or harder. But ultimately it depends upon you, what you choose to be . If you feel if you're better off without a spouse, then so be it.

"If you stay in US and have no sex for along period of time.. you may become a homosexual (no offence). You will need companionship of the opposite sex eventually. In a country like US nobody should live without a girlfriend/wife/boyfriend/husband. Being alone is the worst thing in life. This is just my opinion.. please post your opinion if you have one... ""

Awattar, here is my opinion:
1. People don't become gay (In the US or in Nepal). They are born that way. Just because people supress their feelings and don't show their sexuality in Nepal doesn't make them hetrosexual.
2. There is a huge differece between Celibacy and homosexuality. Celibacy is about NOT HAVING SEX at all whereas homosexuality is about HAVING SEX WITH PEOPLE OF SAME SEX...get it?
3. You dont NEED to have a companionship. Even if you do need to have a companionship, it's not necessary that it has to be of an opposite sex.

Speaking of celibacy! can you guess why 'Thakur' in the movie 'Sholay' was so mad at
'Gabbar Singh'?
It was not just because Gabbar killed his wife and/or others, but rather but the villian cut off both of his hands that he could have conveniently used to jack off during his celibate life.
That's the whole reason, he was seeking retribution from Gabbar....
That's why he had to resort to 'what' is mentioned in the clip below.

This world is 6 bilion yrs old re.

Though we are prud tobe in 21st centru.

Many civilisation must have been destroyed by STD's. Many wars were fought for women. Although men rule the world, the center of honor has always been female.

Now i am lost. I had wanted to say something but forget.

ummm....celibacy is philosopy made into rule into religion...to live and let live.

uff....now i am completely lost.
