Namaskaar Nepali Daju, Bhai, Didi, Bahini ho.

Our Nepal is moving in the right direction (Hope so), And at the moment the big question for Nepalese is weather to keep the king or to declare Nepal a republic and have a President instead. I thought why not ask the opinion of every Nepali living outside Nepal also to pour their thought about future Nepal. Every Nepali must have the right to freedom of speech as it is a part of democratic process, not everybody may like what one has to say but he or she must have a chance to speak out and share their own opinion as well.
I do not want any opinion to be a fighting or negative point, and want every one to appreciate each others opinions, and discuss it with manner, after all we all are the children of Nepal and are brothers and sister. (except for our wife of course, he he he )

The voting point is.
1. Keep the king (only ceremonial king, with no powers or influence in politics what so ever. Must be under constitution)
2. Declare Nepal Republic and choose President.

I vote “For” the king.

Because:
Nepal has a history of kings from the beginning, although the King’s age is over, I like to have the royal family as a living historic monument. The royal family should only be the king, queen and their children non others. The first born child should claim the thrown, even if it is a girl.
The royal family should be under the constitution, and the new Nepali law.
There are not so many royal families in Asia; It would be nice that the ceremonial King represented Nepal out in the world. After all Nepal is the only country in the world with no same origins of people, and as it was and has been from the beginning the one link that hold or represented us (every origin, as Nepalese) was the royal Family.
I do agree with many people that This king and his son is, well you know what. I think that we should investigate properly on what happened in the palace in 2001 and bring the guilty party to court.
But just because one or some bunch are an ass hole we shouldn’t break our tradition.

So 1 Vote for the ceremonial king, with no powers or influence in politics what so ever. Must be under constitution

Jai Nepal
