Ha ha! This could very well be a joke - who knows if these bored women just wanted to take the nosey reporter for a ride and told him/her exactlly what they thought s/he wanted to hear!

But on a serious note, I do empathize with men and women whose spouses cheat on them. The most ironic thing about this is many South Asian people, especially those with more traditional values, think that if the woman stays home she is more likely to play the devoted wife role than if she were to work. I guess this story blows a hole into that thinking - devoted perhaps but certainly not faithful! :) Makes you wonder if it is easier to cheat at home than in the office.

Dhattiwala, the reporter puts it in a very humorous manner. For instance
"Several women often work illegally, in motels or grocery stores, that pay them peanuts"
---"peanuts" sounds like that "thingy".

"As one Indian housewife put it on a chat: "I know it's illegal to work, but having worked as a microbiologist back in Mumbai, I find myself completely at a loose end here.”
----completely at a "loose" end.

Hahahahaha!

Good job Tmobile!
