opps...maaph garnuhos for making u confuse....on my current location...haha... :D neways...wow thats impressive u can come out with such list...oh the first name on your list...heard he is getting married soon....now in nepal (just to update your list)...his younger sister is the one i'm referring to...Chandarakala limbu (married, nurse, singapore)

hoina...i didn't went to Woodsville Secondary ke....actually to be honest with u, I only started to know abt Nepal & Nepalese only after my NS (2001) see how dumb a singaporean can be.....due to mero interest mah...so right now still trying to build more nepalese saathi mah..n of coz still trying to learn more lah...dun know if i can make it or not....
I know there r indeed couple of fellow nepalese here in sajha who used to stay or study in s'pore....hmm...only these days i don't happen to see them posting any...

cheers!

oooooooooooooh chandrakala limbu ha. i know her. she is one year junior than me mah. of course we used to go to same school. EPS and USSS. hey din tell her hi from me to her. send my regards to her ok.
anyway i didn't knew she was married to singaporean?
her bro and me good kawan mah.
you know din veru funny hor. every morning during school assembly we had to sing "Majulah Singapura" ----the national anthem of Singapore and also recite The Pledge.
so how can we ever forget that mah.......
also my singlish is good because ha it's like my mother tongue now.
but very sad you see. once our dad retired from SPF your government is kaYu.
they wanna see us packed too and sent us back to our homeland. but the tragic thing is that singapore is already our home. most of us grew up, educated and live in singapore for more than 15 years and when we need the most, your government turned your back against us.
so once ex. gurkha sons and daughters returned back to Nepal we have so many problems
1. we have no knowledge of our mother tongue
2. first world country to third world country >>>amazingly shocking
3. environment and food is a major adjustment

therefore as you can see many of us did not stay or returned to our homeland.
we know blood of gurkhalis are running in our body and we never run away from struggle nor hardship as we look for better future.

dear Tmobile is Tikajit Thapa and Lava Gurung a lahure in Singapore?
yes i know him.

sorie couldn't reply early...bz working on final project..work etc..etc....

hoina...she married to fellow lahure..GC member lah...abt that govt thingy..i fully understand BUT i must say this...its not the govt but its GC...seriously..its GC tat make such nonsense rules and restrictions...I'm not kidding pal. If u remember that freaking old commander (Niven) i bet its his idea to have such rules enforce to all GC members. Because, I've seen and spoken to quite a number of nepalese students, workers that r here either with students pass or working pass. They don't seem to have problems getting visa, not at all. The only different between them is that they comes straight from Nepal, unlike u or other fellow GC chora chori.

I heard from my GC frends that some of the retirees are seeking help back in Nepal from the Ex-Gurkha committee or something like that to get GC change their long standing rule....hopefully with the new commander...something could be change but i doubt...so long as the commander is a dumbass British, there's little hope...sigh...its kinda sad n upsets to see such things happened here...U shld keep trying

cheers!

*********8

I-Nepali and Anon,
Where are you two?? take care lah!! (My Singlish has never got better ke! :-))

Have a great Chritmas.
Carpe diem

Hi Sandhurst lahure...

nope (thank god!) he is no longer the commanding officer...but that old hag is still being retained by the SPF (S'pore Police Force) to act as advisor for a year or so...heard he might go back to Nepal....yeah no doubt its pathetic to see such treatment being enforce to GC members, but little can be done when all the high ranking officers (90% of them!) in GC are British...

cheers!

Wah...thank u thank u rai for ur grand welcome...wahhh me hor..feel so grand already liao hahaha. wah lau rai...u talk like local s'porean eh. U good lah, with all that singlish, suddenly i feel that this is not a nepalese forum leh hahah..(for those non-singlish speaking...pardon us!)

hai...that niven, he long long time supposed to be condemn liao...they make mistake by asking him to come back and let him rule GC. I'm not sure if u were still around when there's a period of time when the Commanding Officer, Deputy CO, GM all resigned. So GC had this urgent meeting with all the sahebs discussing abt who shall be the next Commanding Officer. SPF (S'pore Police Force) give the sahebs 3 choice, 1st choice is to let the local be the CO, 2nd choice a nepali CO and 3rd to call that old man (whom already retired lah) to be back in GC. So tat time...being typical lahure loyal to the queen, they asked him (niven) to come back and rule lah (siao hor!) and that old man..feel so proud start making all those changes...now everyone suffers!

1 reason if u don't happen to know lah...all GC lahures are given Employement Pass (EP) hoina? And with that EP, they can are eligible to apply for PR...so to avoid such event from happening, he put restrictions on that....which actually does follow our immigration law lah. this is just one of the many examples lah...conclusion...GC have their own standing law which differs from the published govt law.

but then rai...my two cents of words lah....u shld try lah..afterall, the govt is now relaxing the law and they are inviting more foreigners to come in.

oh dhanyaabad for ur kind comment on my nepali..no lah i'm still learning them leh (painstakingly!) from the language books, listening to nepali music, radio (bfbs) and listening to other nepalis talking......sian leh....here where got nepali language course.. :(

Oh I met him during our Adv Diploma level course. Since then we had been frends and went thru our degree course together.

news abt s'pore? wah lau..alot leh..haha..can write a composition one leh..hahaha later u cannot tahan one hahaha (very singlish hor?) anyways, some interesting news to share with u....s'pore still short of babies...yes u hear me right...we are shortage of babies! hahaha..funny hor?? pple here have alot of sex but no babies..hahahah...we want more foreigners!! hahaha...they are inviting more foreigners to come in (both student & professionals)...for the 1st time...foreign students on student visa can work part time (ONLY APPLICABLE FOR GOVT UNI/POLY)...govt is relaxing on the law on PR application. PAP is still our rulling party....anyway rai, u might want to check out this website http://www.talkingcock.com u sure laugh one (stress relieve for your other post)

abt i_nepali...the last time i saw his post when he fights abt some photos being uploaded here...then he gone liao...thought he only play play leh....dunno become so serious till like this ah?

>>>>>
danda: hmmmm when did u visit S'pore? More tourist highlights are being developed..so stay tune..

hmmmm i guess others r just too shy to come in...come out come out where ever u r...haha

cheers!
