A friend of mine just completed her 3 yrs BA in nursing from Banepa, Nepal She wants to work as a nursing in the US. Can anyone post what does she need in order to get a visa to work here? Is there any places where she can apply for work? Doe she need to enroll in any colleges to transfer her credits?

Any helps would be highly appreciated...

1. Get Nepali license.
2. Go to california board of nursing / colorado board of nursing / new mexico board of nursing and look at the licensing procedure.
3. Submit all documents and finger prints (when required) to apply for licensure by examination in the state of your choice (only one state is required)
4. Submit all the required documents for visa screen certificate to CGFNS
5. Once found eligible schedule for test in New Delhi or Hongkong.
6. Once NCLEX-RN test is passed, take the IELTS test in Kathmandu (overall 6.5, speaking 7.0)
7. Complete the visa screen certificate process from CGFNS.
8. Contact www.rnindia.com for job sponsorship.
9. They will apply for green card on your behalf. Welcome to America.
(Whole process should take about between 18 to 24 months if everything goes without problem).

jivmangurung dude i suggest your friend to apply for admission into some US.University for B.sc in Nursing. Then apply for F-1 Visa to come to USA. After enrolling in the university for 1 semester, transfer to Kaplan College where your friend can do her NCLEX-RN examination from that state.
Once passed, applied for work.

best of luck
