The silver lining:

the dark clouds

once agin, it could be bright and sunny

the prospects

smiling faces everywhere

gleaming futures in their eyes

Once over:

the birds shall chrip

and shall the rivers flow

mighty, clean and clearer

fresh mountain air again

the aroma of the soil, rich and ripened

Here it comes:

the season of forgiveness

the festive of colors

forgetting blunders

creating spaces within

festive of sheer happiness

a pursuit-one of its kind

immense potential

success to embrace

An oppertunity:

a time to correct ourselves

to contribute to the new making

reconstruction, reinstatement, building

the days of glory

reconstruct, rennovate, resorate

It’s here to remain:

the promises it has made

the price paid

priceless

stable, open, clear, conscience

let there be light again

let the peigons soar

let the jewel shine again

amidst the global chaos!

MY NEPAL, MY PRIDE!!!

Sulfur in the air
The crimson waters
Stooping mountains and weeping rivers
Battered spouses, raped womanhood
Orphans, bastards, grieving parenthood
Fear, death, murder and cries
Synonym of life

A nation: an image: blur
Shattered glasses-numerous reflections
Living with the wolves
Alligators and vultures
Sacrifices without reason
Assault and treason

Lives everywhere: lives nowhere
A habitat-isolated
A caravan-dispersed
Displaced souls, tortured minds
The uncertain dawn
The daunting dusks
Alms for extortion
Souls for revenge
Valueless corpses
Scattered, buried, pieces

Clueless flock: a witless ram
Blind disciples: cunning leaders
Blast! The usual morning alarm
Murder! The usual evening sign
Extortion! The new rights
Abduction! The reason of life
Cries, whines, screams, sirens
Effigies, strikes and the burning tires

HALT!

Lifeless curfew-not a soul to witness
Rule of the miscreants
A pregnant mother dies-no ambulance
A child dies-mines in school playground
Teachers amputee-did not teach war
Fleeing youths-fearing forceful recruit

Recognize me?
I used to be a nation-I still am!
Now in a transition-an indefinite wait
Life’s so lifeless now
Without those daily chaos routine
Awaiting eagerly for the next beginning
A beginning of a new war or a continuance thereof
War-an identity for me
My Nepal-My Pride!

Santoshgiri - That's some very profound poetry there - I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great work!

If I could make a quick comment, I am intrigued at that note of caution you struck in the last lines of the second poem. Would it be right to assume by war you mean new struggles of different types or do you genuinely see violence ensuing? Was just curious.

Best wishes.

Thanks Captain.
the possibility of lawlessness still presists
given the fact of clash of egos and no government that lasts more than a year,
its certain the problem is there to remain
kepping us busy amidst our own problems.
The war is there to remain, until the rightless get their rights; the homeless their homes; revenge shall replace duties for years to come.
How can we forget that we are fighters, and have remain dutiful to our duties since ages!
we may not be good at everything but war!

Thanks for the clarification - that's a very interesting perspective.

Also, good job with the first poem - good stuff there too.

:)
