i guess it is allright to allow your pick. and i have updated. saying that, i am going to change the system (beginning week 7) to such that, you can make your picks 5 minutes prior to the game time. i hope everyone's fine with that. if not please let me know.

peace, and enjoy dasain.

First a very happy and wonderful Dasain and Tihar to everyone.

Week 7.

Yes, last week (6), the Bears lost to the Vikes (yikes), and the bottomed out Saints beat the Hawks. Crazy week that was. Rest of the schedule looked normal except that Panthers also ended up beating the cardinals. Afterall Cardinals are just as same as ever before. Just some weird fun (or sufferings), they were having, as most NFL teams do in the beginning. The west in both the conferences looks pretty bad in shape. All you western fans, sucks eh! Especially me, I am a Denver Fan and I live in Seattle. What can we do, when the teams are playing poor ball games. Like Dr. Z from CNN suggested, Denver is better off hiring some Sumo wrestlers in the Defensive Line.

And yes, NFC west is still cursed to have a below average team sent to the playoffs. I doubt any of them are going to finish 9-7 or better. They might just top off with 8-8 and go ahead. And the AFC west might just share that curse with them. I am gonna have to sarifice a goat to make Broncos a better team and (as my initial) hope them to win all the way. Dasain Dreams - Fly Kites, Swings, Broncos win. hmnnn... I need some vicodine now.

Did you guys see Brady play. I have no doubt after that offense he produced, Pats to be the SuperBowl team. I guess we just gonna have to wait 2 more weeks to figure out which one of the two (Indianapollis), will be in the Bowl game. Last week, we saw two 5-0 play, and in two weeks we might see two undefeated teams play again, unless the Coltss loose to the Jags this Monday. The only challenge for the Pats are the Skins next week, but you never know the Dolphins. Sometimes, the stars just click on their sides (somehow weirdly), and might turn the dice to their favors. But, Brady is perfect, who had better numbers than any numbers in the NFL and NCAA last week. Crazy eh!

Reiteration again: We have the best quarterback duo in the same season in the history of the NFL. And if you put Favre (who is giving the best performance of his career), we have three. Amazing season this is.

Anyways, it was an average pick week for all of us. The best finish was 10-3 by CaMoFlaGeD and yours truly. There were only two loosing picks out of 16, at least, that was better than the previos week. mostPickedByUs was at 9-4.

Overall, the other top threes are closing in against utousucks. Only 4 points separate 1 and 2. FYI, the top score in CNN's Peter King Challenge is 66 among 40,000+ players. Our leaderboard (62 points) would have been in top 100, and our top three (57+) is better than King's picks (56). Let's go ahead and beat 'em, boys.

Now, week 8 is by far the funniest (i think) of all the weeks we have seen in the past.

Funny game 1. Cards(3-3) v Skins(3-2), because Skins are a better team with better record, but if they were to be in the playoffs, the Cards as a division champ would go to the next level but not the Skins. Even if the Cards loose, but the Seahawks also loose (not gonna happen against the Rams), Cards still has the division lead. Skins by 7.

Funny game 2. Chiefs (3-3) v Raiders(2-3). Beleive or not, they are playing for the division lead. No other comments. Chiefs by 7.

Funny game 3. Patriots (6-0) v Dolphins (0-6). Perhaps the Fins need some rest, so just let the week go with out a play and give the game to the pats. At least they will avoid a crushing defeat and in return earn another week of rest. Sorry Fins Fans. But People, this is the NFL. Remember Vikes beating the Bears last week. Pats by 14.

Funny game 4. Fins (0-6) v Rams (0-6). Oops that's not gonna happen ever this season. Damn, I think the NFL should open a slot during the playoff, to have these (two 0-16 teams) playoff for the worst record in the history of the NFL. Yes, it is too early to make that call for two 0-16 teams, but I guarantee two 0-7 teams for week 8. Fins plays Pats(2), Giants, Bills(2), Eagles, Steels, Jets, Ravens and Bengals for the rest of the season, and the Rams plays Hawks(2), Browns, Saints, 49ers, Falcons, Bengals, Packs, Steels and Cardinals. Actually you know what, Rams actually have a chance to make to the playoffs with 8-8. They can win 8 games of the remaining 10 (2 defeats against Packs and Steels, and win the rest). I listen too much Pink Floyd - High Hopes.

Real Game 1. Colts (5-0) v Jags(4-1). Yes this one is a real game. I think this is going to be an upset of the colts by the jags. Both teams are coming from a bye-week, but Jags play at home and only the Steelers have allowed lesser points per game than them. Nevertheless, Colts are undefeated, but Jags are on 4-game-winning streak as well. Although I (and all of us) have no doubt that the Colts are a better team, I am just gonna have to pick Jags this week to win by 3.

Real Game 2. Steelers (4-1) v Broncos (2-3). Three defeats in a row, Broncos are playing for respect and when in such a tough division, they are actually playing for life. Steelers' only challenge in the division is Ravens, which is an average team this year unlike last year. With Mcnair sidelining every other week, i don't see Ravens as any threat. I am gonna have to pick the Broncos win this game by 3 just because they are playing at home (look the fan is yapping again), and "Revenge" from the games two ago. Another revenge game - Please Laugh at this joke. Thank you very much.

Others:
I am dropping Bears for the first time from my Picks. I still think Vikings win last week was against a weak Bears. Cowboys are much much better offensive team than the Bears against them. Falcons v Saints is just another division game, which's result is going to make no difference in the end.

Games to Watch by time.

Sunday Matinee and Daytime
Matinee: Bucs v Lions. Cards v Skins. Watch the game-breaks to NE v Fins for Brady's masterful plays.
DayTime: Bears v Eagles
or Just just take a Dasain Break and play some "Falash" or "Kitti" (preferred) the whole day while the TV is on for highlights for all 12 games.

Sunday Night: You don't want to miss Steels v Broncos. Bijaya Dasami. Some Beer, Khashi ko Masu, and Bronco Game.

Monday Night: Post Bijaya Dasami game. Colts v Jags. Even Maa Durga will be watching this game, mates!

Links to all games available by Saturday Afternoon.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Dasain. This was my first Dasain without my family. Terrible that was.

Anyways, Week 7 had mixed elements. All the games resulted as they were supposed to except for the loner pick by Sniper, Detroit beat the Buccaneers, With 2 minutes left, the Bucs should have capitalised the onsite kick recovery. but, this is the NFL. The Lions are the Bears beater, so Bucs are not an exception. They play the Bears again this week. Yupe, bears coming back to win after that crazy 97-yard drive in under 2 minutes by that crazy Brian Griese (once considered to replace Elway's legacy for Broncos), I think Bears are back in the game. After next week, the Bears should be second place in the NFC North and will continue to win more games to make it to the playoffs. I will not not pick Bears ever again except for that games against Broncos and the Packers.

Hankora was the only one to pick the Cardinals win over Skins and he could have been right had that 54-yarder went through the uprights, in the final moments.

utousucks was right when he had the loner pick for Bills over the Ravens - why would you want to pick Bills over Ravens? Amazing! The game wasn't about Ravens' defense. It was all about the Bills stopping that 3-1 and 4-1 at about 1 minute and half left to play.

And hatterika and myself got that Indy-Jags game wrong. I knew that the Indy's were a better team, but I had to go with the home team. But hey, the QB was out in the first Quarter. But hatterika, we got that Broncos game right, hoina. cheers!

And finally, I think the Rams are the worst team in the league. At least the Fins put up that 28 points against the Pats. And how about the Texans putting that 29 points in the 4th, to nearly beat the Titans. That would have been interesting.

Anyways, utousucks still leads the table, but himalayan dude have beaten utousucks in 2 consecutive weeks to close the gap by 3. Watch out utousucks. And what happened lurey. You missed (forgot) your picks for the last week. Also, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in the current standing haven't won a week - quite interesting eh!

CamoFlaged wins the week again for 2 consecutive weeks scoring 12-2 this week - good job mate. The last time we had that was in week 3 and 4. We still do not have an undefeated week by anyone yet. Camo you could be the first 3-consecutive winner and also join utousucks for 3-weeks winners club.

As you can see in the new tables i have highlighed some of the achievements. The weekly winners are in bold. 10 or more wins are in green.

Sniper, i have a question. are you the eSniper from the Sajha Discussion. If you are then, i believe we need to input your picks for week 1, 2 and 3. what do you say.

Week 8.

There are only two division games this week. Steelers @ Bengals, and the result almost certain to the Steelers, and Lions v Bears.

Marquee game 1. Lions (4-2) @ Bears (3-4). I do not remember when was the last the time the Lions visited the Bears with a better record. Lions are always placed 3rd or 4th in that division with Packers and Vikings being the other. Should the Lions win and the Packers loose to Denver, believe of not, Lions are tied for lead in the NFC north. But, I am gonna have to go with the new Bears. The win over the Phillies with that last moment 97-yard drive, reminds me of Broncos' Elway's "The Drive" of the '87 AFC Championship game against the Browns. Bears over Lions by 3.

Marquee Game 2. Jaguars (4-2) @ Bucs (4-3). This is the clash of the defenses. However, Jaguars are weaker in the offense, so the pendulum is definately on Bucs and they are also playing at home. Both teams lost their last game, so this game is sort of for recovery. Jags are out of QB's. Bucs by 3.

Marquee Game 3. Packers (5-1) @ Denver (3-3). Yes, Packers and Broncos return to the Monday Night. These two are the highest revenue grossing teams in the NFL, and when they clash on Prime Time, it's gonna be a big bang in both ends of the television sets. I remember, watching them during the Superbowl in 1998. I woke up at 4 in the morning (yes in Nepal), recorded the whole 3.5 hrs on tape. At 10, I invited the students from University of Colorado and Univeristy of Wisconsin, to watch the games. They did not yet know the result, and it was something amazing to see something like that in Nepal. I became a hero, rey kya aach! We do not have Elway in the Broncos jersey, but we definately have a better Favre with a Better Team. But this is Bronco country. They hardly loose games at the Mile High. And with that crazy offensive performance last week, they have revived. But, the Packers are rested and also lead the division. A very dangerous team, they have become. Yeah, last week a fan yapped and gave Denver the game over a much better Steelers. This week, I am gonna have pick Denver again by 3.

Fantasy game. Rams (0-7) v Fins (0-7). I think i am obsessed with these two teams. Rams play the Browns and Fins play the Giants. This week again, Rams have a better chance of winning. Just win a game, and let me cool down with this idotic fantasy i have. Fantasy Game Coming up next week -> Rams (0-8) v Fins (0-8). Fantasy Game Coming up in the 17th week -> Rams (0-15) v Fins (0-15). After week 17, what the hell am i doing here? ok ok, continue with the picks.

My Picks for Week 8

Philadelphia Eagles @ Minnesota Vikings ........ » Philadelphia Eagles
Pittsburg Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals ........ » Pittsburg Steelers
Cleveland Browns @ St. Louis Rams ........ » Cleveland Browns
New York Giants @ Miami Dolphins ........ » New York Giants
Oakland Raiders @ Tennessee Titans ........ » Tennessee Titans

Week 8 Review

Believe or not people, the Lions are for real this year. For some reason Detroit is a weird city. After returning to MLB with the third worst record in the AL in 2006, they made it to the World Series with some uncany and unbelievable victories over the best Yakees and the A's. Now, they are doing the same in Football (3-13 last year - worst in NFC). They are fine in NBA (Pistons with a ring - in the last decade) and NHL (Wings have 3 rings), but seeing them do something like this (winning games) in the NFL? At least I do not recall the Lions working out so much. Well, the pundits claimed that they would win a SuperBowl with Joey Harrington after he was picked first overall, but, even Joey is not in the team. But they do have an experienced Kitna. Yes, the Lions have beaten the Bears twice already this year. They are the fourth best team in the NFC and second in the North. It is not about Vikings and Bears, it is the Lions. Crazy city.

The Jaguars stunned the Bucs by holding on that 24-23 lead for more than 10 minutes in the last quarter. A real defensive game, that was. And that amazing first play of the overtime in GB v DEN game. Is there a doubt that Favre is playing the best season of his career. I thought that old man was too old to handle the fast Denver. But then, with Denver playing such a sloppy Rush plays against Green Bay, I do not see green lights in the Denver Locker room. Gosh, I was so happy when the game tied, after failing to score a TD on the First and goal at 2 yard line. Then I got my beer, ready to watch the overtime, thinking that the Denver would get the ball back. My friend calls me from the bar and tells me to hang on. There could be something left for Denver etc. And then, One play, and TD and game over. Sucks!! I only had a gulp.

The Pats anhilated the 'Skins. Believably, Tom Brady score two rushing TD to go with his 3 passing TD. Even their other quarterback Cassel had 3 plays for a rushing TD. This is an amazing team this year. And ofcourse, Manning's Colts also destroyed the NFC South's best Panthers. Both the Skins and Pathers came to the 8th week with 4-2 record, but their opponets were undefeated ones. But the most surprising part (as far as i am concerned), Vinny Testaverde is still playing. That Okeye boy from the Texans was just born when Vinny started his crazy career with Bucs and bounced to every other city that he was familiar with (rey).

Anyways, I incorrectly picked the three marquee game that i reported last week. Gil, Sahayog and Hatterika picked the Lions game correctly, and hankhora, basnyat, sahayog and hatterika got that Green Bay win correctly.

CamoFlaged has won the week again, with 11-2 (3rd straight - good going mate) along with Basnyat, Hankhora, neps and November. This is the first time we have had more than 2 winners for the week. We had one loosing picks this week, and only 3 picks that were lesst han 10 correct ones. overall, we had a great week. MostPickedByUs was 10-3.

Basnyat has replaced himalayandude in the second place, and is only 2 points behind the leader utousucks. but, himalayandude and utousucks are still the only ones left to have a lossing week.

Week 9 preview

Everyone's wait is finally over. Week 9 - here it comes. Mini-SuperBowl was held in week 6 with that NE v DAL. How about naming this another game of the undefeated super-SuperBowl, as they do not play each other in the Bowl game.

Game of the Year: New England Patriots (8-0) at Indianapollis Colts (7-0).

This is the first time in the NFL history that two undefeated teams with 7 or more wins have met (regular or post season). Undoubtly the winner of this game are the king of the 2007-08 season and most probable team to go all the way - perhaps undefeated - and give Bob Griese chills for his '72 Dolphins' record could be broken - finally.

The Pats are the best offense and 5th defense. They have scored more points than any team in the history of the NFL for the first 8 games. Brady has 30 pass TD, and Moss has 11 receiving TD - both on pace to easily outrun the previous records. The Pats have also won 3 of the previous 6 superbowls. But they were last beaten by the Colts in the AFC Finals, with that crazy comeback by Peyton Manning.

The colts are the 3rd best offense and 2nd best defense. They have won the last 12 straight games after that loss to the Texans in the 16th week last year. They have started 9-0 in the previous two seasons and with this 7-0, they have become the first team in the NFL to start three straight seasons with 7-0 or better. Manning-Harrison duo is the best QB-R combination in the history of the NFL.

Similar hype happened in the 2005-06 season when Manning visited Foxboro with 7-0 record to play the 6-1 Pats. The Pats lost 27-20, that marked Colts seconrd straight win over the Pats after loosing six. With that AFC Championship game, now they have 3-straight against Brady.

You just gonna have to see this possible mini AFC championship game to know the result. Brady is doing great with Randy Moss in the receiving end, while Manning hasn't connected as well as in the last season. But, watching the last game, at least I do not have a clue who at the moment is a better quarterback - for the team. But, If I had to pick, I am gonna have to go with Brady. Colts rely on Manning too much, which the Pats do not have to with its QB only. Although Colts looks better as they are playing at home, I am calling this game Patritos over Colts by 7 points.

Marquee Game #2 - Monday Night Football: Ravens (4-3) v Steelers (5-2). The clash of the divisional titans. Cleveland is playing Seattle, which they might win. That would give them 5-3. so, this is a must win situation for the Ravens. Both teams come off the bye-week, but they lost their games in week 7. The rested week should give them new direction and new game. The steelers are the best defense in the league and Ravens are second. This is going to be a very low scoring game. Steelers by 3.

Sunday Matinee game: I am going to see the Den v Det game. But, the better game would probably be the Panthers v Titans (Just cause this is the one of only two games played by two winning teams in the matinee - other one is GB v KC).

Well, guys, your wait is over. We are going to see the two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL history play with undefeated records - only one team will be left with undefeated record, after this week. Enjoy the Games.

My Picks for Week 9.

Washington Red Skins @ New York Jets ........ » Washington Red Skins
Carolina Panthers @ Tennessee Titans ........ » Tennessee Titans
Jacksonville Jaguars @ New Orleans Saints ........ » Jacksonville Jaguars
Arizona Cardinals @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers ........ » Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Denver Broncos @ Detroit Lions ........ » Denver Broncos

Sorry Folks, for not reporting for the past few weeks. Kay garney, kaam ma byasta bhaye pachhi testai ho. i did see as many games as i used to so, i couldn't come up with anything to write. however the last week is here so, i guess, i needed to update on our picks.

So, that there is one more week to go. I guess it is time to reveal the prize before i continue. i said in the beginning that if we were enough players in the game, that there would be a prize. it isn't anything that great, but i have a shop in seattle, where i sell stuff from Nepal and few from other places. aba, nepali mitra haru sanga, nepali samaan haru ta almost sabai nai chha hola, so, i decided to give a t-shirt from thailand with the great bob marley's image on the front. i retail it at $40. so, i guess it is valuable enough. i will post the photo of the t-shirt on thursday when i get back to the store again.

ok, back to the game. week 16 is the first time, that the leaderboard has changed. utousucks had led the entire season, but with great and consistent selection, basnyat has given him a lead by 1 correct pick. but, basnyat do not sit and be comfortable, neps is closing in to get you, as well, should you get 5 less correct than neps'. camo had a great run in week 6, 7 and 8, but faltered in 8 and 9 to nearly slip below those missed a few weeks. and so did, hankhora, lsu and hatterika. the quietest one is himalayandude, who never missed from top 5 despite never winning a week.

the greatest streak i found is the 6 consecutive 10+ wins for utousucks, lsu and sniper. camo had another one with 3 straight weekly overall wins and so does sniper. nflnepal was the only one with two 4-straight weeks with 10+ wins.

i don't know what happened, but since week 11, we all have performed pretty well ,averaging 10+ wins.

Sniper, after quieting himself all this time, won the last three weeks, with 15 wins and 1 loss in week 14 along with neps. That was the best picks so far in the season by anyone of us. Another closest one was in week 5 by lurey with only 1 loss. people with 4 weekly wins or ties are utousucks, neps amd camoflaged. basnyat and utousucks are the only ones with 11 10+ wins weeks.

I hope we get our first flawless picks with 16 wins in week 17.

once the regular season is over, we will have the playoffs for the superbowl. All of us will play again, however this is going to be a fresh one. The winners of the playoffs, will have another prize???? so, we all have a fresh chance to win again. if the regular season winner wins again, i will give you something different.

Let me know if you all can think of some other play format.

please visit http://www.sujanks.com/nfl for details, results and make new picks.

Sujanks bro, we did miss your weekly analysis and are glad you are back. Thanks once again for taking care of the picks. The system was really nice.

On this achievement, I would like to thank my dad, mom, brother, sister.......Just kidding, I am not going that way.

Basnyat, sorry dude. You were this close. Gave it a good fight. But as it turns out the BEARS WERE WHO I THOUGHT THEY WERE...Good luck for the playoffs. Let's see if the COWBOYS can make it all the way.

Rest, it was a great tournament. Get ready for some playoffs now and good luck.

Happy New Year 2008 to you all. Over and out....

A surprise surprise superbowl.

Neps wins the playoff by correctly picking New York Giants over NE Patriots, edging out Sniper in the tie-breaker.

Thank you all for playing. See you next year.
