England lost big time in the Ashes today with English Captain being the first captain in 81 years to be routed 5-0 in the Ashes.

Well it's all about the team effort. Look at the scorecard..1st test 2nd 3rd and so on....you can easily track why the Australians got what it takes to be a champion. Batsmen fails, Bowlers Shine, Top-Order Fails, Middle-Order cover up! So I think it's all about the mindset of the players and their killer instinct. Well wateva the case is I've been a huge fan of Australia since childhood and will be forever!
Go Aussie!

Lemoney - How about we making a team and bash the Aussie team? Tyahi ta atti bho. I do not think there is any bit of excitement left for them since they do it every year.

Loote Sir - thanks for the remind. I bet you need more often or say all the time than anyone else. Cry baby you are!

bob dai you are right ! its all about the team work....'consistency in the team' is the phrase i am looking for here. honestly, I don’t really hate the Australian team... excellent batsmen… terrific bowlers and just their mere presence ‘used’ make the games worth watching. Not anymore. Kaati jiteko dikka .. its boring. What seems to be their most noteworthy strength in the world cricket scenario today is the fact that they ‘team’ is and has been so consistent in the last few years. But, if we are to look at their strongest competitions.. teams like India, England. Srilanka and most of Pakistan their strength – consistency- is what seems to be lacking. The team keeps changing... its the same with the captainship which doesn’t do much to further the morale.. confidence level and zeal of the players!! That’s what makes them vulnerable and the aussies first prone and then eventually addictive to wins I guess :s oh well ..what can we do but wish for ‘losses’ to the everytime-winners and goodluck to the others! a biiiig one for the pakis :D

Flips,
ok lets make a team!! timi , sndy ra ma in ;) who else wants to play?? loote's not allowed he cracks pathetic jokes all the time :)

Hahaha Lemoney - I would buy for all-rounder, a wishful thinking it is! We do need a captain who lead the team. How about Camo as our captain? Any other suggestions?

Loote Sir - That could be problematic for you. You mingt want to spare yourself. ;-)

Sndy - How about giving you the position of an opening batsman and slip position when the opponnentteamn is on the field? You say what Lemoney?

Sndy.. good to learn that you are interested in the position ;) so we have our batsperson and wicketkeeper :D

Flips! Camo's name sounds good for the position of the captain. How would you like to open for us and do some serious bowling :D ?

Lemoney - I would not want bowlers like Loote sir who would pretend to scare the hell out of batsmen without any success! How about someone who would silently does the magic, without praising themselves. You know what I mean. :-)

Well Australia is the best team in the world right now. I don't think anyone even comes close to their depth chart, even with English county cricket getting so much publicity they don't have the system in place like Australia does. The growing number of foreign players playing county cricket keeps the local players away. This can be seen in the English premier league too. Given, in soccer most of the world-class clubs with money have international player but the number of international players playing in England is quite high. No wonder they always choke when it’s time to shine. I don't think its lack of talent but the way the talent is molded and the selection to. Leaving out 2 key bowlers like monty and mahmood was a mistake in the first couple of matches. They just weren’t prepared for the Australians and like everyone is saying them going back to England for 10 days for R and R was stupid. The mind set was we beat em last year we can do it again. As they say the wounded tiger is more dangerous I guess that is true.

Regarding the outcome of the ashes I would like to say that both the teams deserve this result. Aussies were waiting for the ashes from the day they lost last time. And English were celebrating too much. I agree it was a big achievement for English but they just became overconfident after that. On top of that their preparation was below par this time. Plus the team selection from the first test itself was not good. And none of the english player could fight aussies except for Peterson to some extent. On the other hand Aussies were brilliant as usual. But it will be interesting to the next Aussie line up for test matches. Cant wait for that.
