As you know sajha has always believed in trying out new things to see what works - as in what helps fulfill its goal of Bringing Together Nepali Communities.

Through it's sister site - Ramjham.com it is evident that we want to see photos of other Nepalis having a good time - may it be seeing someone familiar in the photos or enjoying the spirit of ramjham in different places and among different Nepali crowds.

In order to facilitate more photo sharing, sajha.com/ramjham.com is introducing a new campaign of "Sharing is caring" whereby anyone is able to forward photos they took of Nepali events with the general theme of 'ramjham' (having fun, enjoyment, entertainment, interesting people).

Sajha cares that you share! If your photos get selected to be posted in ramjham, we will pay you $50 per album. It's a good way to reimburse your expenses for a party you attend! Enjoy the party, take some pictures and get paid back!

If there are more than one perspective of the same event by more than one person, we can select more than one album if the albums are deserving.

Please follow the guidelines below:

• Each file should not be more than 1024 pixels wide (you can use Google Picasa software to resize your images
  
• Each album must contain at least 40 images
  
• Images need to be of good quality
  
• Ideally, the images should zipped to a zip file and emailed to admin@ramjham.com
  
• If your photos get selected, you will be notified and your album will be shared in ramjham.com with due credits to you.
  
• Photographs must be taken by you and may not hold any copyright.

Excellent way to spice up the ramjham in ramjham.com.

But San, a couple of questions/suggestions.

1. Are only the albums sent to admin@ramjham.com eligible to win the prize money? How about the albums created by the Sajhites/Ramjhamites themselves? After all, latter is less work for you.

2. And, how about asking people to send you link to their albums if they want to feature their pictures, say from Yahoo, Picasa, AOL, Flikr etc. etc. etc. That'd be one way to get their albums easily to you.

And now, I have to send in three albums to you so that I have three times the chance of winning - $50?

Initially I was thinking of awarding only to the albums that had good photos to be officially uploaded by ramjham. Your point does make sense that it would be easier if the users created the albums themselves. But then, their album would be up and they would not be rewarded for it. I was thinking of rewarding the albums that get officially selected to be uploaded on ramjham. It might be a better idea to have say $100 prize money to be given out per month?.. I guess that's another possibility :)
