2 positions within Middle Office Client Services

This group within a top-tier investment bank provides administration, accounting, investor and corporate services to investment entities operated by their Prime Brokerage clients. The Middle Office service is a new offering that provides daily reconciliation, accounting, reporting, valuation, and various other middle office services to hedge fund clients. The Middle Office Representative (MO Rep) will be the primary, daily relationship contact for the client and will be responsible for the maintenance of the client's full accounting records and daily accounting, profit and loss, and performance reporting. The MO Rep will act on the behalf of the client when dealing with the fund's prime brokers and other counterparties.


Principal Responsibilities:
- Relationship management including regular client visits
- Understand client reporting needs and match with appropriate reports and technology
- Train clients on new technology and reporting
- Confirm that all of the client's trades have been received/processed through the trade capture system
- Ensure that the accounting records reflect daily pricing and corporate action information
- Perform end of day P&L reporting checkout to ensure numbers on T+O reports are reasonable
- Notify client of any unmatched trades booked today and ensure that the trade is corrected appropriately
- Liaise with clients on all trade and reporting related questions and ensure corrections are booked to the accounting system
- Liaise with operations group and review break reports for accuracy:
- Position / cash reconciliation between accounting system and all custodians
- Unmatched / failing trades
- Assist in the creation / development / testing of the accounting reports and client website
- Ad hoc projects to enhance internal processes and efficiencies


Experience/Skills:
4 year college degree.
2-5 years accounting or operations experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to interface with internal and external operations groups
Detail oriented
Results oriented
Team oriented
Ability to multi-task and react quickly to meet intra-day deadlines
