 Need help on Lost Nepalese passport

Hi,
I need help regarding a lost Nepali passport. I understand that if you lose the Nepalese passport, you can get it replaced from the Nepalese embassy in the U.S.
How about the the visa pages (in this case F-1 visa) on the passport? Does the embassy here in the U.S also take care of it or does one have to go to Kathmandu to
have it replaced? If anybody knows how to deal with this problem exactly, any help
would be greatly appreciated. Regards.....
