When you see your favourite dress getting ruined, I bet it's not a happy sight. So, here's an easy procedure and hope it helps. STEP 1: Harden the gum by rubbing it with a cube of ice. STEP 2: Scrape off what you can with a dull-bladed butter knife. STEP 3: Rub the area with a pre-treatment enzyme product or liquid laundry detergent. STEP 4: Launder as usual. Good Luck! :-)

"how to get chewing gum off the dress?" oh okay, burn the dress and throw away the ass/leftovers of your dress and harden the softened gum by putting it in the ice cubes. then put some color into it and wrap it in a paper and sell it to the nearest grocery store. you'll make at least 10 cents out of it. good luck! hope that helps :-) LooTe

Use kerosene oil, petrol or gasolene as the agent depending on where you are stationed. Here is the process: 1) Deliberately try to stain your ready-to-be-trashed Old Navy like brand dress that is woven in the same fabric as the subject (the actual cloth with the stain) with a used chewing gum of your own. ( A used one of somebody else will not be hygienic enough for me at least ;P ) 2) Soak a little bit of the stained area in one of the afore-mentioned liquid. Rub(Ring a bell?;P) as hard as you can, holding the stained area of the cloth between your thumb and index finger of each of your hands (assuming you have both hands like I do). Be careful enough not to rub the cloth against your skin, as the burning sensation could turn out to be pretty ferocious. 3) Keep on rubbing regularly dipping the stained area in the agent as need might be until the stain will be history. 4) Guess what? Now you got rid of the gum stain. You might have a new kerosene/petrol/gasolene stain. I think you can remove it with regular wash detergent. 4) Wash the clothing and dry it and ensure both the primary and the secondary stains are gone. 5) If it worked for the previous one, then it should also work on your Armani dress too. Repeat the above steps for the cloth that has the gum stain. Good luck! ;P

oh sowwie. i read the question differently. please omit my last post. :P if the dress is very very precious (priceless), i would suggest you to give it to the dry-cleaners. they have all kinds of tricks of the trade to help your dress get rid of the freakin gum cleanly. hmmm....i did spell 'ash' the write way it seems, doesn't it?...bloody gum, my a$$!! :P on a serious note: my tip is more helpful than some of those american manual which read: 1) blah blah blah 2) blah blah blah 3) blah blah blah 4) blah blah blah 5) blah blah blah 6) blah blah blah 7) blah blah blah 8) blah blah blah 9) blah blah blah 10) blah blah blah 11) blah blah blah 12) blah blah blah 13) blah blah blah 14) nothing works in the end..so all the best! :P LooTe

Gurl, get rid of the yellow stain by buying the same dress again from the store and return the dress with the stain within 15 days. Problem solved.

GurL_Interrupted this is how you do it. buy more chewing gum. chew it and after that stick the chewing gum into your dress where the old chewing gum stains is. that should solve the equation. if it dosen't work let me know.
