hey shresman,
i bought my first car with the permit. a representative from geico asked me when would i take the driving test, which i was gonna take in a week's time. they told me to inform them soon as i get the licence, which i did. they also charged me an extra 50 bucks (prolly, don't exactly remember) for the first 3 month premium coz i did not have licence at the time of purchase.

LooTe

Sorry, I have no clue. Did you check your local DMV website? I am not sure but insurance companies may charge you high to insure cars for learners. May be the best bet is register car in friend's name, get insurance and add you as an additional (May be you can give permit # as DL #) driver until you get your license. Or work hard and get license first ani tanthai saaf.

As I know, you can't drive alone with DLP, right? Why so hurry for a month? So, you are going to buy a car and learn how to drive or you already know and just need to practice? I think what Lutekukur has mentioned above is good choice.

Oki, when I bought my first car it was on learners permit. As stated there is no restriction in you getting the insurance in your name. The insurance company is going to ask you to show them your license as soon as you get it. Your insurance is going to be a bit high, as you do not have a license. You are also a first time driver so expect your insurance to be high.

After you get your license, your insurance should go down when you renew it. Also if you are below 21 or 25, your insurance will also be a bit higher. Call some insurance company and they will defenitely let you know. If you want to have a quote online then you can go to esurance.com and they will give you the quote online and you dont have to talk to any insurance agent. To purchase the insurance after getting the quote or not is upto you. It really is not that complicated!

why u in hurry..if you really want to learn driving ask your friend to rent a car for you for 14.95 a day and learn or practice all day, that might be cheaper..

But its just a suggestion
