Completely agree with you John.

Just for example, lets take our family back home. The ladies in our family in nepal still can't miss a single episode of Kasauti, Kumkum, kusum and what not that are aired through indian channels and are a complete indian production. Still in US several nepalese do look for "KBC", time wasting "Soap operas", and uncountable hindi movies n songs in the internet. And surfing the net they happen to stop by Sajha and what do they post: hatred towards india, patriotism for nepal, blah blah blah....

If you think you are a true patriot, why don't you look for nepali movies, songs and shows online? why do you get restless if you don't get a link to watch a new Indian movie? If you have the right to accuse an Indian with all the curse words, so does an Indian ahve the right to curse you: A Nepali. Its easy said than done, so stop posting on blogs and forums saying you hate Indians, they are Mofos and what not, unless you are truely and wholeheartedly a patriot.

I am proud to be a Nepali, but regret haven't been able to do any remarkable thing for my country yet.

Peace.

Dear birshiyechu,

Thanks for visiting, however, the crux of this post was a sarcasm towards failing government, the shortcomings of democracy, and the "very-much-in-the-norm" south asian politics.

nepasider,

Thank you for the compliment, a nerd, as far as I believe is a frail looking person with thick glasses, who is million times intelligent than you.

well I did intend to mean it as a complement rather than a comment. Of course you n Birsiyechhu seem more intelligent than me but may not be million times though, lol.

these were at least something relevant and interesting to read among the crowd of BS articles and posts. Thanx for your contributions. appreciate your effort. these are what i expect to read when i come to Sajha.

Keep 'em coming!!

Jay Nepal!

nepasider,

I am not a nerd...nor a wannbe, but I wished i were sometimes, at least I would not falter academically. If that was a compliment I am honored, if a comment, I'd embrace it nevertheless.

But yes, like you said, everyone wants to read a good unbiased post here at sajha, quality posts make a valuable website. C'mon aren't we all through cursing and swearing at one another???

John - Good to see you around. Thanks for sharing your views on the subject. And I whole heartedly agree with that last comment of yours about cursing and swearing. I sometimes wish Sajha was moderated a bit more - especially for profanity. It seems talk of mockery does not have to reach the shores of South Asia - there is quite a bit of it going on right here :)

John, very aptly portrayed. Agree with you completely.."If bullets could not stop them, money did" That is so true..specially in South Asian context..Thanks for sharing.

I would totally disagree with you in this aspect John. I am sorry but i would presume you have spent very little time in madhesh. Living in KTM alone would be insufficient to experience the taste of water in all the Ghats of Nepal.

No hard feeings but I can say that I have lived quite a part of my life amongst the Madhesis. If you are presuming the 'You cut your hand I cut mine both of us bleed red' theory then you are quite mistaken. I would suggest you to meet a few of these madhesis, try understanding them, what they want, what their mentality is, I am sure you will be surprised. As far as Mr. Bhagat goes, whatever he might be advocating I am sorry to say he has not left his core, he is one sad . . .

ghopachee,

it is a very unbiased judgement, and if you rummage in between lines, i never have portrayed ill will against madhesis, nor did I criticize their movements, I simply said that all these movements were very very normal and that we had been witnessing it for years.

Further, my opinion about Mr Bhagat is still the same, i have read his blogs, heard his speech and wished he were a little more like gandhi, king and walesha instead of being belligerent. He is a brilliant person, but instigating a feudal and sectarian fire is something out of his class.

I wish you knew me a little more, I spent my life in Biratnagar more than you could ever imagine.

Thanks for visiting, it was a great comment ghopachee, I wish to hear more from you.
