It is interesting to see some of the emerging economies doing better than many of the more established ones when it comes to women in management positions.

The highest percentage of women in senior management can be found in the Philippines, according to a report by Grant Thornton International, a consultancy. This reflects a tradition of wide participation in society there. Similarly, the egalitarian legacy of communism could explain the high proportion of women near the top of companies in China and Russia.

But seriously, you would think the US of A, Britain, France and Germany would do better - after all they have had women's lib for far longer. And Japan? Jesus! I guess Nepal was not even in the survey but it would be safe to say that we would probably not have done too well either.

LOL, I won't fall I promise :) Yes, Phillipines on top is pretty surprising..though I feel phillipino women are smarter than men..

Has anyone thought of the other side of this story? :D
