I am trying to work for a consultancy during my OPT period but am confused about the consultancies.I have approached a consultancy named
1. tech-observer.com
2. Marlabs Inc. (marlabs.com)

Please let me know if you guys have any helpful information about these consultancies or any other good consultancies for a Computer Programmer in .NET

Marlabs is a good one, but they take at least 4 months to hire you and the salary is also lesser. But if you need extensive training, Marlabs is a good one. On the other hand, if you dont need much training, and just looking for a job through consultancy, then go for others.

This is what I did
1) Uploaded my resume on dice.com
2) Let them contact me rather then me applying. Make sure yo9ur resume looks nice with lots of guff because they themselves teach u how to guff
3) Asked them about pay and if satisfied
4) Asked them if they will charge you training H1 -- or any other changes that they haven’t mentioned so far. (Its hard to trust madisas easily)
5) Asked them how many people will be staying in one room during training. I have seen 10 in 2 bd rooms

I am joining a consultancy soon but due to some other issues I have not been able to join their training. Tiniharule pathayeko 2-3 trainingko scheduleharu mero schedulesanga namilekole maile training garna bhyaayeko chhaina. But they have already started working on my H1-B paperwork and said that they will file it as soon as the quota opens on April 1st.
My question is, once they file the H1 with USCIS, are they able to cancel it? I hope they don't cancel it but since I have not even been able to go to training (even though I wanted to, but got other priorities to take care of right now) can they cancel it even after it has already been filed?

I have some questions regarding the GUFFs you put down in your resume. Suppose, I worte some stuffs that I've never done beside those trainings. I think they usually find you short term projects. to answer your question, cancelling your application is totally upto the petitioner. Why don't you call them and explain them why you couldn't attend training. Ask them to provide you that receipt # that you can check online everyday after the application is submitted.

CIGG, Madisa consultancies follow dice more closely (not that they don’t look at others, but that’s how I felt). Following what I said will probably get you the most, rest is pure luck. Keep in mind that they have a high tendency to lie, so being aware helps even more. Hurry up if u are on OPT because April 1st is just a few days away.

I have talked to them about the scheduling issues and they seem to be ok with it so far.
But my main question was, Can they cancel the H1 petitioning process ONCE they've already sent in the paperwork to the USCIS for filing? Ekchoti file garisakepachhi are they able to cancel it?

Yes they can! They can cancel your application anytime or revoke your H1B anytime. So always make them happy:) Ask them for receipt # and check status online..

Guys look for consultancies yourselves. Only you can decide what fits you. So talk to as many you can and choose someone who’s giving you the best package. Use dice.com that’s what worked for me, and I am sure will work for you as well.

Every consultancy says the same. Good job, good remuneration, good placement. Fast H1 and so on and on.
How to decide which to believe and which not to.

Please name a good consultancy if you guys know any based upon your experiences.

Go to desicrunch.com and post a request for reviews on the companies you are going to apply for a job. They already have some reviews posted also. Basically they all are dhoti consulting companies on that website.
And to all, based on past years observations, how fast do you guys think the H1 quota will end this time? I hope my lawyers are fast enough or good enough to make that happen for me, I really don't wanna go back to grad school right now.
