Hi,

I was trying to setup a calling card business here in US. I have devloped/customized billing system for my use and everything else is ready to go. But ( I hate this BUT)....I have no idea regarding the legal process of doing Communication biz in US. We already have a company regitered. I heard, for any Communication biz that sends data/voice out of US territor must have some special lisence (http://www.fcclicenses.com/214.html) but I was wondering if that applies to Voip communication as well.

I will be really thankful to one who can share his knowledge or point me to right direction.

thanks

.

I dont know about the licensing to setup a VOIP company, [ and am interested to know ] but i believe, the law for CALEA compliance of any VOIP providers by the FCC is flexible now and requires extensive, whys and why nots, for such non-compliance!

BTW, if you're using SIP, are you trying to setup SIP servers/registrars/proxy yourself. If not and you use sip servers provided by other vendors/organisation, i think you're off those acts and regulations.

Correct me, if i am wrong?

Resellers don't need License.

Dawa Bro does the same and his rates are INSANE :

Hope your rates are along the same lines or cheaper.
