Scrolling banner on Sajha is annoying. What do you guys say?

damn i hadnt notice...now its annoying me ....take that off..

Its kinda annoying !!!
IT pops up everytime I scroll my mouse n that makes me feel like not scrollin the mouse!!!

To me, banner is not much of a problem but something else..

I took so much time on typing things for a reply but all of a sudden, the browser refreshed and all I typed was gone.
Same thing happens when u are down on the page reading something. It refreshes itself and goes to the top. It annoyed me to scroll down again after that refresh.

btw, I was using firefox, if that has anything to do with it.

More annoying than the scrolling banner is the periodic auto refresh of the sajha page.

I noticed, my typed content in the comment box was lost when it auto-refreshed. So, I have to use some other text editor if I want to take a bit longer time to write a message, because it may disappear when the page is auto-refreshed.

there is a kind of popup frame, which appears and disappears instantly, but distracts you from what are you doing.

Thanks for your comments. I have removed the auto refresh on all other pages besides the home page. Your homepage will refresh every 5 minutes if you leave it standing. Apologize to you if you had typed something and had it blown away because of reloading. The auto reload has been taken off the other pages.

Currently I am experimenting with the top scrolling layer to see the feasibility.

Tyo top banners maathi mattrai scroll gareko samma thikai thiyo. But it's annoying when they slide below from time to time, sometimes even blocking the view of what one may be reading at the time. Also, cursor tyaa pugda pop up hune pani annoying...it's almost like one of those "ghost" videos when one's staring at something, and suddenly something else pops up. Mero ta mutu khasera paitaalaa samma pugeko jhandai! :D

.I love the moving banner. Move and stop the cursor on the banner headings--it will show you pictures related to the headings. I love the Boston Dragon Boat Festival's picture of a boat.

San, just for reminder, the scrolling bar is annoying, you can improve it by either of the following means





1. by completely removing, or
2. by making it thin, or limiting to one line scrolling bar, or
3. by making the unused portion of banner transparent so that the content is not hidden
when banner is not scrolling, or
4. any other ideas of your own
