Ask the international student advisor to write a letter stating that you are the student of the college and in status. Also that you are 7 month pregnent. They might ask you for your mothers passport number and date of birth so that they can write it on the letter. it would be helpful while applying for visa. it would be tourist visa.

If you and your husband are both students, you probably will have hard time proving that you will be able to financially support your mother in the US for 6 months.
There are two ways: you pay for her trip or your mother pays for it.
If she can make papers (bank papers, property valuation etc) from Nepal, she can say that she will pay for her own trip. This way, she will have a better chance of getting the visa.
Good Luck !!

If your mom says that she is going to america to take care of her daughter and her infant I am pretty sure that her visa will be denied right away because the visa office will think that your mom is trying to deprive other US citizens from their jobs. To be more clear, if your mom takes care of you and your infant then that means your mom is taking over the day-care responsibilities and some US citizen who were entitled to do that job and make money out of it, is being pushed aside.
The best solution would be, to tell your student office that you are emotionally depressed and shocked because of the culture conflict and that you want somebody from your family to come over to us to give you support and company for few days/months.
Hope that helps

Get a letter from your school, explaining your situation. It should state that they want to come here to visit you, meet the new child and return back after a few months. Also state that since it has been a long time you all have been away from each other, there is a need of family unification.

They have to demonstrate through bank statements, property documents, their jobs and leave approval letters, flight booking itinerary etc. The theme is to demonstrate strongest ties with Nepal than US.

It should work out.

Newlife
Congratulation!
The best supporting documents is from the hospital or your personal doctors who is looking after you. Ask him/her to write that you need someone to take care of you. This will be the most powerful document for you.
Other letter from college, bank statements will required

If your husband had just graduated, your mom could have applied to come down her for his graduation. Usually, the visa is issued to parents and in laws for this sort of occasion. Also, as your husband has already received the OPT, he can get a letter from his job showing his income to support your mom's visit. Good luck and congratulations!!
