Dear All,

Gaurab Rajbanshi,28, who was shot to dead on 11th june 2007 in Dallas, United states.
He was my room mate for four and half years when I was doing Bachelor in Engineering course. He was a very good student of electrical and electronics department of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).Now we all know that it was not any fatal accident or deadly disease which took his life. It was very unfortunate and unacceptable cause. Some freak shot him while he was at work. So this is something which I still cannot take it easy…….it would have been different case if he would have died from other natural cause. He was a single son of his family and His father is a retired old man. Gaurab's family has a debt of 7 lakhs which were used for Gaurab's education in united states.

we, The nepalese students from BUET, dhaka are willing to help Gaurab and his family.
We have already collected more than a lakh rupees from buet's nepalese students and we have manage to launch a website http://gaurab.org for raising the fund for gaurab's family. So i am requesting those who are abroad and have paypal account to donate some money to the family of our beloved friend Gaurab rajbanshi.

If your innate feelings provoke you to help gaurab's family then you can spread this helping message to all.

Dear All,

I am writing this mail to you in connection with the mishap that happened with one of our beloved friend Mr. Gaurab Rajbanshi, 28, who was shot dead by some criminals on 11 June 2007 in Dallas, United states.

He was my roommate for over four years when I was doing my engineering course in Bangladesh. He was a very good student of electrical and electronics department of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Now we all are aware of deadly accident which took his life. The unfortunate accident was never thought of even in our dreams and it happened suddenly without any cause. Some freaks shot him while he was at work. The incident is something which I still cannot take easily…….it would have been different case if he would have died from other natural causes. He was the only son of his family and was the sole means of his family to make their dreams come true. His old parents are already retired and they don’t have any other sources of income.

Very recently we came to know that Gaurab's family has a debt of US $ 12,000 which they had taken when sending Gaurab to USA for higher studies. He was about to complete his MBA course from there and was planning to wed in next couple of months. After this mishap his family members are in crisis, neither they can manage any source to return the debt nor they have any other alternatives to ensure that they will be able to have it in future.

In this context, we, the Nepalese students from BUET are willing to help Gaurab’s family to lower their trouble by collecting some fund in memory of Gaurab. We have already collected about US $ 1300 from BUET’s Nepalese students and we have also managed to launch a website for the same purpose, which can be accessed at;

http://www.gaurab.org

Since the debt is much higher than the fund we are able to raise until now, we kindly request to all Nepalese students studying abroad, social workers, philanthropists, colleagues, and expatriates etc. to join us in support of Gaurab’s family.

Those who are interested to support can make their contribution through Paypal account as mentioned on the above website. In case of the people who are in Nepal and are willing to contribute, please contact me at 9841340692.

Your support will be highly appreciated and we assure that it will be used for good cause for humanity.

Your’s faithfully,

…
Mr. Jay Karmacharya

My condolence to Gaurab's family. May God give them strength to bear the pain and may Gaurab soul rest in peace. I went to the website as I wanted to contribute and help. I didn't know Gaurab but when I saw the picture, I recalled that I had met this humble person once recently thru a friend. In just a short meeting I could tell he was friendly, ambitious and good
personality person. He was about to apply H1 thru where I got H1 from and get a real professional job. It makes me very sad to come to know about his story.

Thank you all for your support in this great cause. We have started to transfer the contributions to Gaurab's family in Nepal through Muncha.com

We'd like to thank Muncha Money Transfer for waiving the transfer fees and letting us use their service to transfer the funds to Gaurab's family.

We expect continious support from Nepali Community... until we reach the goal of around NRs. 7,50,000.00

Thank you all!
