Who else thought this movie was awesome?
I am talking about the recently released movie TRANSFORMERS produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Micheal Bay. Frankly, I am not a fan of SCi-Fi movie genre, but this movie comes as a big suprise. This is not a typical Sci-Fi movie, it is not even a serious action movie and is packed with so much comedy and humor( not the cheap ones that we see in American Pie etc etc). The special effects were simply incredible.The robots were great and the action sequences among them is just perfect. The way the robots turned themselves into Chevy Camaro and GMC Trucks is so well etched out. As for the actors, Shia LaBeouf is the perfect cast(Hollywoods future) for the lead role. He is really comic. And then his opposite sexy Megan Fox may not be that good an actress but certainly adds a package of glamor. The rest of the cast including Tyresse, Josh Duhamel, Racheal Taylor and Jon Voight do not dissapoint either.
The movie looks far more expensive than just $147m and could not understand how Spiderman could cost more than this one.
Okay this may not be the best ever but certainly its way better than Spiderman 3, Pirates of the Carribean- At World's End. It certainly was a relief for me as the movie that i watched before this one in the theatre was the extremely pathetic EVAN ALMIGHTY.
Really, this is a must watch movie. I would recommend watching this movie in the big screen.
And for people who have already become fans of TRANSFORMERS just like me, there is good news as TRANSFORMERS 2 is already in pre-production and is slated to release in the end of 2009. It cannot get better..can it??
