Hinduism and all it's sects like Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, etc. are peaceful and the best. Other religions are good too but there are far too many abuses and hindrances there.
I was wondering whether you belong to any religion. Its an irony that a philosopher instead of producing a statement and a neutral judgement would provoke the community by attaching this sort of biased and incredible picture and that is from youbute. It seems like a hindu family has lost one son amidst the spiral of clouds which their son is trying to entrench himself into. its shame that some of us are losing our parenting which we are inherited by our family.

This is the beauty of Hinduism. I just love it. If u understand its true meaning, then its the most tolernt and eclectic religion. Anyone can just say that Hinduism is bullshit/ its the stupidest religion or anything he likes. And he escapes, totally unscathed. I simply love that kinda freedom. Just imagine something telling similar things abt Islam / Christianity or even buddhism.......Is that even possible?
If u truely understand Hinduism, then 'atheism' is a sect of Hinduism which survived and grew long long before Christ and Buddha. Surprised? If not convinced, then go and brush up your basics about Hinduism and learn something about "Charvaka' or 'Lokayata" darshan or 'Brihaspati sutra'. That is "atheism' at its best.
p.s. I'm not talking about the cultural practices of today that are being carried out in name of Hinduism. Anicient Hinduism is never equal to these sociocultural practices.
meek_misfit Ji, I have to respectfully disagree with you. Jimmy Page played 12 strings in very few songs. 'Stairway to Heaven' is probably the prominent one. Similarly, David Gilmore played very few songs with 12 strings - not even 'Wish you were here'. Gilmore plays his Fender Stratocaster in almost every songs. I have seen him (Pink Floyd reunion with Rodger Waters) in Live 8 concert in Hyde Park, London. They played bunch of songs none were in 12 strings. I don't know much about John Frusciante(RHCP), but I have heard almost every songs by RHCP, and I don't think 12 strings is his primary choice of guitar.

They chose their own paths but Hinduism is too quick to cuff them within its cell.
I read somewhere, but I'm unable to quote the source right now, that in one Hindu script, Jesus is also "considered" to be one of the "Dev Putra" of Bishnu.

Hinduism might be the stupidest religion or might not be. So are the other religions. Religion itself might be stupid idea so that a handful of losers can always have people while most of the population is always busy doing what they are indoctrinated to do. If one religion is ridiculous, so are the others. But some fools always think that they are right and they never realize that they are making a big joke of themselves. I feel pity for them.
